Cat Owners...Am I the only who...?

Post by RogueIce »

Feels this overpowering, irrestiable urge to pet my cat every time I happen to walk by him? Every time, no matter what I am doing or where I am going, not even worrying about time sensitive appointments (such as me and the head), I take the time to stop and pet the little fuzzball.

Why, oh why is this? And am I the only one?

Note: The same could apply to the owners of other pets, particulary dogs (I can't think of any other pets one would normally, well, pet).

In my days of having a kitty, I use to pet he all the time. She'd "idle", then I'd go awww.

I miss her.

I too get this urge to run my finger along pussies when I am near them. Huh.

Yeah, I'm the same way with my cat (the one I have left). I think he's got some kind of homing beacon or something implanted in my hand so I'll rub him when I walk by.

And Gandalf, I know how you feel. I miss my other baby still. *hugs* :(

Aye, the clever critters must've cast some sort of compulsion effect upon me, for I am compelled to

A) Pet Kitty, teh c00l c4t.

b) Startle and make weird noises at Elouise, my sister's evil cat.

Same way with mine. Besides, if I don't pet her while I walk by, she makes all sorts of odd noises and chirps.

Cats have sophisticated mind-control powers that force humans to pet them. I'm petting my cat as I type this. Compliance is rewarded by purring. Resistance is punished by hairballs.

I think Zaia would be a good name for any future cat I'd have. My current one has a "Z" based name, and since my dog is always a black Labrador with a name starting with "M", it'll carry on the tradition... uh, like NATO reporting names for Soviet jets. :P
