what, if any, are your favorite types of mythology.

I love the Egytpian Mythology the best because I think it offers the best base of awe and interest. There are so many of them, and they have a certain type of class to them as well! There is so much history behind them and the Egytpian people. Their religion seems like it offers so much more than the other ancient religions--i guess that is why many of the Greeks during the Hellenistic period turned away from their own gods and sought the pleasures of mystecism, especially Isis

She has got to be the hottest goddes I have yet seen!

THeir mythological creatures are pretty classie too! Anubites

Yes... gods springing forth from other gods heads, babies strangling snakes, people turning into flowers, deer, all other sorts of stuff, a POMYGRANDE being the object that caused the creation of winter, pregancies occuring from *ahem* golden showers....

Greek is my easy fave.

Some others are Korean, Japanese and Chinese for flavor.

I do enjoy though some Celtic and Nodric mythos as well.

Greek, because I nearly started a revolution with it in my Sunday School class when I brought in my book on Greek mythology and the kids in my class liked it better.

XENA! Lol...she seems to incorporate Greek, Roman, Norse, Chinese, Asian, etc....wonder how she manages to pop up everywhere..never really watched the show regularly.

Norse Mythology is kinda cool. It has that rough canadian-Hemann atmospher to it.

I would also say buddhism, but that really isnt Mythology...is it? I am not aware that they have God's and mythological creatures.

Actualy that would be Vagabat Gita. If you liked it I would also recommend Pandavas and Ramayan. Both are great works of literature.

Mahayana Buddhism borrows heavily from the Hindu myths and pantheon. I don't know about the Theravada branch.

Greek, Norse, Shinto, Hindu and old-skool uk folklores. Although i know jack-shit about the shinto gods, truth be told, outside of the snippets you see on "Big Trouble in Little China" and animés and other films.

Greek's my favourite though. Proper epic.
