Where you were acting as Warriors not policemen, you were more than happy to promote any sort of behaviour as long as it hurt communism and anything not involved in your fight against Communism went to the dogs.

Yes, I suppose in hindsight it would have been better to let the entire third world fall to Soviets rather than supporting governments slightly less enlightened than the Vermont congress.
Oh please you were willing to support the most odious of regimes as long as it halted the Soviet threat and any nation that wasn't involved in the cold war you were uninterested in getting involved (unless they were on your very doorstep).
