I've never heard of this...what does it do? Or does this make thaty backup file thingy?
if you dont save a document after 10 mins of typing windows hangs!
If you don't save a document after ten minutes of typing, you deserve what you get. :-P I once wrote 15 pages of stuff over the course of 30 minutes. Forgot to save. Had a power surge . . . ZAP all gone.

Save often.

And enable whatever AutoSave features your word processor have.

Who needs autosave? After using win9x for a while I now have a compulsion to hit ctrl-s every 5 seconds when typing/programming/whatever.

On the other hand don't blame Microsoft for having dodgy epuipement. I didn't even think 28.8 bbs connections still existed.
When you have something as dynamic as the Windows platform, of course there are going to be bugs. Name one piece of software that doesn't have bugs. You'd be suprised how pressured MS programmers are when it comes to getting things done. They don't exactly have a long deadline, so they are going to miss a few things, or skip over them to make way for something more important. Atleast they do have the balls to admit their mistakes and offer patches for free, which they are in no way obligated to do.
