Odd battles between SW and ST
I have had some battles going through my head lately.
Corellean Corvette VS Dominion Fleet-how much damage could it do against the Dominion at its height. What would be needed to take out the Corvette?
Marauder Corvette-How effective would it be against a Dominion battleship? And how effective would the Breen energy dampeners be against it?
Millennium Falcon VS A Borg Cube-Who would win?
Corellean Corvette VS a Borg Cube?
How much damage could the lone Millennium Falcon do against the Federation
If anybody has any skirmishes they wish to share, be my guest.

If we're talking the ENTIRE Dominion fleet, the Dominion would probably win out eventually. The sheer volume of firepower, combined with the inevitable suicide runs would eventually prove fatal to the corvette, but it'd be quite costly to the Dominion.Techno_Union wrote:I have had some battles going through my head lately.

Can't say, since I don't remember the MC's specs. Odds are the Breen weapon would do nothing due to the different technology base.Marauder Corvette-How effective would it be against a Dominion battleship? And how effective would the Breen energy dampeners be against it?
The Falcon, easy. The Borg are hopelessly clueless in battle tactics, and Han would probably just keep blasting away until he hit something important.Millennium Falcon VS A Borg Cube-Who would win?
The Corvette isn't as maneuverable as the Falcon, but the end outcome would probably be the same. It'd probably occur quicker, since the Corvette has (IIRC) more firepower than the Falcon.Corellean Corvette VS a Borg Cube?
If Han engaged in Hit-and-Run tactics, odds are he could cause serious logistical damage to the Feds through attacks on their supply lines and storage facilities. An attack on a heavily defended target might not prove successful, but he'd cause a lot of damage before/if he went out!How much damage could the lone Millennium Falcon do against the Federation

Yes the Falcon will win but only because of the concussion missiles it caries.DaveJB wrote: The Falcon, easy. The Borg are hopelessly clueless in battle tactics, and Han would probably just keep blasting away until he hit something important.
It will be a prolonged battle. So saying it will be easy is rather stupid.
The resident Borg fan-boy should be around soon to slap you silly if his usual "Borg-is-being-misrepreseted!" sensors are in working order .

Thank you for that, and I have read the fucking sticky. I merely had these on my mind, if you do not want to read them, then dont.SecondStorm wrote:Yes the Falcon will win but only because of the concussion missiles it caries.DaveJB wrote: The Falcon, easy. Im curious; if you read the sticky why did you post that scenario? A mod asks you not to do so and still you do it.Thank you for that, and I have read the fucking sticky. I merely had these on my mind, if you do not want to read them, then dont.
And its fairly hard for me NOT to read it you as you didnt advertise that this was a SW fighter vs ST capital thread. I would have avoided such topic like the plague because I know the outcome.
What Im saying is that you shouldnt post such a scenario in the future .
Now Ill stop acting like a mod because Im not.
And Im being needlessly hard on you also. Sorry about that.
Thank you for your comment about Denmark. In what connection did you visit Denmark?
An american friend of mine visited Copenhagen once and we met and had some beers . He called it a "faerie-tale city".

Yes I will stop these types of scenerios and I even thought about the mods and all that before creating this but I just had to ask.
I lived in Germany before. Of course when you live in ther middle of Europe you cannot help but travel to other countries. France, Italy, UK, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. I have been to all of them and loved them, although Paris was a little dirty for my taste but thats an entirely different topic.

What about Menjamin Sisko vs. Grand Admiral Thrawn in a pie-eating contest?

Re: Odd battles between SW and ST

Its a frieghter/cap ship or samll SW cap ship vs. ridiculous numbers of ST cap ships.SecondStorm wrote:Im curious; if you read the sticky why did you post that scenario? Falcon's a freighter, not a starfighter. Its larger than a starfighter and carries heavier weapons than a starfighter .SecondStorm wrote:Wtf ?
The Falcon is comparable to a star-fighter. It have similar weapon and shielding.
It is not capital-scale as you seem to think it is .
If you got evidence to suggest otherwise then post it. Dont bullshit around.

Damn, I wish I wasn't at work and could cite my book.SecondStorm wrote:What?Bertie Wooster wrote:According to WEG, the falcon had capital-ship grade shield generators.
Ive played WEG as well and the Falcon had starfighter scale shields.
Yes, the RPG stats listed them at SF-scale shields, but they were mentioned as being capital ship-grade shield generators, and listed as such in the blueprints.

Gah I hate not being prove wrong.
damn
damn
grumbleIts owners made "special modifications" on the freighter, boosting its speed, shielding and performance to downright illegal levels. Its weaponry has been upgraded to military-class quad-turbolaser turrets.
A set of advanced Kuat Drive Yards, Novaldex, and Nordoxicon shield generators stolen by Solo from the Myomar shipyards provide the Falcon with warship-grade shielding.

Minor nitpick: Don't you mean B-Wing?Techno_Union wrote:Millennium Flacon was a converted YT-1300 freighter. Therefore it is a freighter. Its upgrades make it to have weapons far above a fighter. Even the most heavy starfighters: TIE Defenders, Y-Wings, A-Wings, and what not are behind the Millennium Falcon.

It has an armor plate from the ISD Liquidator as well.Rogue 9 wrote:The Falcon packs Dennia quad guns, used on capital ships for antistarfighter defense, most notably the Lancer frigates. Its armor plating was taken from a wrecked Carrack cruiser. Its shield generators were upgraded with parts from that same cruiser IIRC, though I could be wrong on that last point.
