Ah ok, my mistake.

Alright, well by now it should be clear to everyone (as it is to me) that the campaign is dead and buried. My original idea for a workable forum game was to keep attention focused by not having it not be too freeform. The go anywhere, do anything model breaks down, in my experience, when there's a delay of a day or more between deciding to do something and getting feedback, especially when you have to semi-coordinate with the other players.

The second part of the plan was to keep campaigns very short. I should have ended the campaign with the defeat of the MS strike team.

Since I didn't have the foresight to follow through with my original idea, I'll have to use hindsight instead. We'll end the campaign here and start a new one. Go ahead and tally up all the XP that's coming to you and add 10 for completing a story arc, or if you don't feel like doing that, just give yourself 30 XP (that seems reasonable to me).

Now, where we go from here is up to all of you. The way I see it, there are three possibilities. I won't taint peoples' decisions by saying which one I would prefer.

1. We start a new campaign using the same setting and some of the same characters. Some of the characters, like Dirk, would probably not stick around and hang with the rebels. Those who feel this would be in character for them, or who just want a change, will make new characters who have the same amount of XP as the old ones had. We will then start a freeform narrative thread to establish what everyone has been doing in the interim between the end of this campaign and the start of the new one, and also establish a basic foundation for the newcomers.

2. We start a new campaign with a new setting and new characters. Both this option and option #1 will involve starting everyone off on the same page, unlike the blunder I made in this campaign.

3. We forget about the whole thing, and don't do anymore RPing on this BBS.

Oh btw, even if someone has no interest at all in RPing with me anymore, could you please just make a post to let me know to count you out so I'll know whether to recruit more or not?

I know Heath (aka Gerard_Paloma) doesn't want to play anymore.

Wow, I take a break from The Days of Blaine and Stacey's Lives and look what happens!

I like option 1 as well.

Right-o, at least, I don't want to play on the board anymore. That said, I know it's much harder to coordinate, but I like the idea of an OpenRPG game. Just a thought.

One is good, and I'll stick with Thomas/Yuuki
SDN Rangers: Gunnery Officer

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.

Before I forget, there's also the matter of the cybernetics. Mikal, Ernesto, Blaine, and Dirk get 1 upgrade (any upgrade) installed as their reward.

Also, who will be using their current characters and who will be rolling new ones? So far all I have is:

Symmetry as Thomas/Yuuki

Oh, and should we continue using the rules we've been using, or update to more current ones?

I don't remember many changed from v 3.0 of the Big Book effecting the Cyberpunk mod - but I could be wrong. I'm cool with the rules we've been using (unless I'm wrong about the Big Book, then all bets are off.)

I've spent a couple of days cogitating, and I think I'll be sticking with Blaine, seeing as this will be a fast forward of the current campaign and all.

It probably doesn't make any sense to update to the new rules that concern character sheets, since everyone would have to remake their characters essentially and that would be a pain in the ass, but the new rules for hit location and damage are much better, and I think we should use those for the new campaign. Any objections to that plan of action?

It's kosher with me. Just FYI, I don't have a copy of v 3.0, and currently bladesandbarmaids doesn't have anything available (as of 03/04/04) for download.

Not that I needed it before, but who knows what could happen in PM.

You're right, it doesn't. Which is why Justin can e-mail you a copy. Just send him an e-mail, that way he can't forget. Cause just asking him to do something that's not written down is a recipe for disaster.

As opposed to asking me to do something that is written down which is just a recipe for fiasco or debacle, but not quite disaster :D

All that's left for me to do is decide which upgrade to install and Blaine'll be ready to go. Work has me by the short-n-curlies so it'll probably be sometime tomorrow before I have the time.

Well, tomorrow turned out to be the day after, the day after, the day after... etc. Anyway, Blaine is all updated, but to whom do I email it? Heath? Justin? Joe?

All character sheets should be e-mailed to me from now on.
