I have three cats, and each has it's own unique personality. One of them, a completely black senior (11 years old) of the family, is ready to be petted at any hour, and will purr away as soon as you start. He's cute and commands petting as soon as you look at him.
The second guy is a fat, lazy bastard who's only hobby seems to be eating. He's a big bowl o'lard, and has, say "head issues" that cause him to start peeing in the corners of the house when he becomes stressed (usually by the new cat that has recenyly arrived)
The third one is a she, a new arrival at the house, currently growing up from her kitten stages. She usually projects this aura of superiority, and if I've been behaving myself right, she will SOMETIMES let me pet her
