I carry all my money in gold.

because silver coins are scary :o

Since I have Eschew Components, the only materiel components I need are the expensive ones (gems and such), can I just subtract their value from my gp so I don't have to spend hours flipping through the book and writing down each one?

Edit: And your AC looks a tad suspicious. The way I'm adding it up it should come to 22, not 34. What's that honkin' +7 miscellaneous bonus coming from? And mage armor is +4, not +9 AC.
I met the prerequisites upon reaching 13th level, and that is when I took the class... though that is a DM specific thing, some DMs operate like that, some force me to take the class when I level up to 14.... Either way doesnt hurt me much.

I counted my AC as when I have my defensive spells up. I can change that if need be.

I always thought this "material component" stuff is just ridiculous. THat why we'd skipped that completely in my game and games of friends...

It means spells don't stack.

For example, if you have one spell that gives you +4AC, and a spell that gives you +5 AC. You get +5 AC, NOT +9AC.

Accidents...all accidents....call lightning is rather unpleasant if you happen to be beating on the recipient of it with swords at the time....

Uh huh. Sorta like that "accidental" discharge of that wand of lightning bolt into the lake while the monk was swimming for a shiny object on the bottom... There wasn't even an advantage that time, the player was just an asshole. Anyhoo, now that that's confirmed... *Opens character sheet, plots weaknesses.*

And very important to game balance. Although not technically correct; with the exception of dodge bonuses, bonuses of the same type do not stack. Therefore mage armor does not stack with any type of armor suit, since they both grant armor bonuses. However, mage armor stacks with shield because the first grants an armor bonus and the second grants a shield bonus. (They nerfed shield in 3.5; it now acts as a tower shield [which was also changed in 3.5] instead of cover.)

Also, any ideas on when this thing will start? I have spring break in a couple weeks and don't want to miss the first few days of the campaign.

SO, if I wear armor, and have mage armor, it does only gets me the +4AC from the Mage Armor?

Can a monk wear bracers of armor without losing benefits, or does it just count as wearing armor?
