It's not Photoshopped because a) it's on the BBC, not FOX News or Pravda and b) anyone who has seen the Drosophila with legs growing out of it's face or the bird with mirrored wings will know that genetics produces the most amazing freaks.

This isn't anything new, such abominations have been seen before, but they may get far more common now, a good excuse if ever there was any to cut down on the amount of shit we throw into the environment (most of all because we end up consuming it too).
