As you are packing up, you hear a low rumble outside, and the tromp of many feet. Suddenly, you sense a flare of abjuration magic aroumd you, and the door blasts in with a hail of splinters, and pair of soldiers right behind it.

For my standard action I take the time to use my spellcraft to identify the abjuration magic.

I then activate quickened haste.

For my move action I draw my weapon.

For my other move action I say to the troops "What are you talking about? Were peacefull citizens!"

I move 20ft to the left so i'm out of the anti-magic field, do my spells return? (anti-magic field is only a 10ft radius)

The two soldiers that just broke in the door snarl and draw a pair of wickedly sharp axes, radiating strong necromancy magic. They snort, and gesture back outside with a flick of their heads. "You! Surrender now, or be crushed!"

The soldiers give a low growl. "You can't get out of here. We got whole place surrounded, and the wizards are waiting. You come with us!" He thumps his finger against his breastplate.

Soldiers pouring into the area, check, seeming to establish a perimeter around a certain area, check. Time to figure out the sides

"So I see, you've jammed teleport. Very clever, very clever. Idiot."

For my first move action I shapeshift to half-were form, all my minions follow suit and engage in the defensive plan.

On my second move action, all my minions draw their weapons except for my clerics who cast Bull Strengh and Endurance.

I then Quick-cast Mass Enlarge, the 20 minions nearest to the door are now effected by Enlarge.

To set the scene, allow me to quote the effect of enlarge.......

This spell causes instant growth of a humanoid creature, doubling its height and multiplying its weight by 8. This increase changes the creature’s size category to the next larger one.

Given the stats of my followers in half-breed form, these two guards are now facing 20 scary looking critters with STR in the low 40's, around 18ft tall, and weight near severel tons. (thank the gods we are on the ground floor).

Now given this sight that will send even the toughest morals screaming in terror, were going to try to make an INTIMIDATE check. Before you apply any bouns we may get just for being scary, we have a +16 modifier to intimidate. (That's EACH of us having +16, and there are 20 of us so.......)

As the woman spoke, the Bronze dragonette's eyes were slowly narrowing. Torment, death, raising the dead to torture? No, she wasn't a nice lady at all.

Lowering her head to be face to face with the woman, Tormantineth slowly smiled, showing all of her teeth. It was a trick she'd learned from her papa... probably much scarier when a full adult Bronze used it, but even a baby dragon has rows upon rows of sharp teeth.

You are *not* a nice person. Give me one reason why I should not bite off your head. Small she was, her head was still large enough to make that a potent threat.

"My dear," he politely says in Draconic, "biting her head off would make talking to her a bit more challenging. But she could, possibly, do without other body parts. I'm sure she'll miss them almost as much and she the wrongness of being not nice..."

Draconic? The dragonette's head swings around in surprise, the neck lifting so that she and (Duncan) were nearly face to face.

**in Draconic Common** I wasn't really going to bite her head off... speaking in the voice tone of a child caught telling a fib. I just wanted to scare her like she was trying to scare us.

Just to make sure the woman remembers that Tormantineth is keeping an eye on her, the dragonette swings her head back down and hisses in the woman's face, speaking in Common/Human Well... can I start with her hand then? She'll not miss it....... unless she's a wizard and needs it to cast.

"She is indeed a wizard...and not a very pleasant one as you guessed. I'd be thinking...a long trip from wherever you came....you'd be wanting a decent sized meal. And, she being of little use to us..." He winked, amusment in his voice at the young dragon.

He chuckled. "You see? You don't have to bite her head off for a decent result in intimidating. Most humans actually like their bodies to be intact and complete."
He turned to the mage, and switched to common. "She is a bit on the hungry side, flying and all, so I think she would appreciate your...cooperation."

I didn't send monks to help you because, though your mission was a worthy one and one demanded of a paladin of your stature, this abbey cannot afford to bring the entire city of Westgate down on it at once. We have a mission here, and overreaching ourselves at this stage would doom it. You were not directly under my command yet when you rushed off to your companions, but you have sworn service to our mission now and I expect you to follow that oath."

"Understood, High Lord Khazar. I would not break my oathbond."

"Not intentionally, but you must not tip our hand. I merely wish to reinforce that; I know you would not and could not break your word. I am glad that you and your companions have come. But though they are not followers of Tyr I expect them to abide by our rules while here. Is that understood?"

"Yes, my Lord."

"Good. We have much to discuss later, but for now go see to your companions. I'll..."

A guard burst in. "Abbot, a young bronze dragon just flew in over the walls out of nowhere! It doesn't seem to be hostile, but it is with Lord Trollbane's companions. Also a spellfire wielder flew in, but he also went right to Trollbane's party."

Abbot Khazar shot a glance at Gaheris. "Were you..."

"No, we know no wyrmlings, or at least I do not. The spellfire wielder, however, is a friend and erstwhile companion of ours. I'm glad he decided to come." Gaheris turned to the guard. "You are not to disturb them unless they violate the laws of Tyr or the Abbot or I give word."

Abbot Khazar nodded. "Go to your companions and your prisoner. I do hope that overzealousness you spoke of has not overcome their efforts to extract information."

"As do I," said Gaheris, already sweeping out the door.

"You know, most mages know how to speak that language. If you wish to speak in private there are several more obscure languages that I know...I could teach you. But chances are, she knows every word you said... Oh, and Duncan... You messed up your grammar a little bit. It should have ben 'Intimidation result' rther than 'result in intimidating' "

"I have been through much worse than being called 'shortie'. If all I had to worry about was being insulted I would be a happy elf. You see, I dont like people on general principle, so working with them isnt really on my top priority list. The people I travel with have earned my friendship, and my respect.
