Stephen King is shite...read Clive Barker instead...Imajica, The Great and Secret Show, Weaveworld and Everville are all good books

If you're really interested in scaring the shit out of yourself, I'd give Shirly Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House a read. I've read alot of Steven King stuff, and Jackson's novel scared me worse than any of King's stuff did.
