Is anybody here good at modding SEIV?

Post by Trogdor »

I've been trying to get the damned Trek Mod to work, but I keep getting a long string of errors dealing with the components file whever I try to load it up. I seriously don't want to venture into the huge and complex thread the Trek Mod has on the shrapnel games forum and was hoping that somebody here who knows about it.

You probably dont have the right version of SEIV. Find out which version the mod was made for and download the patch for that version.

I'll go look, but I'm pretty sure I downloaded practically everything available on the site I got if from and all the component files were identical.

The later patches make some changes the game, which conflict with a mod made for a previous version. So the compenent file may be the same, but what the game recognizes as being legal has changed.

Thank you. I'll give what you suggest a try.
