Are there any headphones that have a thick short cord but portable?
I am starting to get pissed by the thin cords that most portables have as today I have successfully ripped one of the cord leading to the main line at the end rendering one of the headphone useless.

Headphone Question
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
The Grado SR60 comes to mind, it can be had for about $70 but I'm not sure what your budget is. It's got a nice sturdy cord that'll hold up pretty well. You could also go with the Senn 497 for $60, it has detachable cord so that if the cord gets yanked it merely unplugs from the headphone instead of ripping in half.

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.
