I don't have a favourite, but up there would rank...

Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
Bathory - Hammerheart
Graveworm - Scourge Of Malice
Nightwish - Wishmaster
In Flames - Colony

...in no specific order.

It's an awesome compilation of his greatest hits, and has a few new ones. Whether you're an oldschool White Zombie fan or really into the modern Industrial Rock, this album is for you! I heartily recommend it. Plus, it's really long and lasts the entire ride to work!
I'd be inclined to agree, but I feel it's sorely lacking in some of the best Zombie tracks in favor of the most popular ones. Everyone's heard "More Human Than Human," "Dragula," "Superbeast," etc. 17.3 billion times. What about "I Am Hell," or "El Phantasmo and the Chicken-run Blast-O-Rama," or "Blood, Milk, and Sky"? Or "Bring Her Down" or "Return of the Phantom Stranger"?

The problem with Zombie is that his best songs are never the most popular ones, although I have to give him mad props for putting "Pussy Liquor" on there. That's my all-time favorite Zombie track now. :D

As for my personal, preference, I'd have to go with Rage Against the Machine's Renegades album. Not only is it the arguably the best cover album ever, but it showcases the downright incredible talents of Zach and Tom in just about every track.

Just because everyone but the people who have Inuyasha style avatars seems to hate it, I'll throw in my favourites. (Greatest hits albums are excluded for reasons that are unclear at the time. They probably have something to do with 'purity')

Linkin Park- Hybrid Theory
Led Zeppelin 2
Led Zeppelin 4
Led Zeppelin 5
Eminem- The Eminem Show
Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon
Pink Floyd- Wish you were Here
System of a Down
System of a Down- Toxicity
System of a Down- Steal This Album
Disturbed- Believe
Bad Company- 10 from 6
Red Hot Chili Peppers- Californication

Best greatest hits albums:

Led Zeppelin- Remasters
Styx
Eagles
David Bowie
Blondie & Pat Benatar
Creedence Clearwater Revival
John Mellencamp

Yet another vote for Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory here! I liked One Step Closer. I couldn't get enough of Crawling. Then I bought the album and listen to it daily for close to a year. Love every song on it. It is the only album I have that I don't skip songs on.

Runners-up are:

Linkin Park - Meteora
Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
AC/DC - Live (needs Big Balls though)
Staind - 14 Shades of Grey
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary (very underrated IMHO, a departure from their previous style that rocks!)

I like a great many more albums but these are ones I can listen to all the way through.

Wow, I didn't think anyone was gonna post, but thats cool. I would have to say a great album has to be one you don't need to skip songs on, and using said logic my favorite few are as follows

American Beauty-Grateful Dead
By the Way- Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Joshua Tree- U2
Revolver-The Beatles
Hail to the Thief- Radiohead
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd

In no particular order
"I don't come here for the music, or even the drugs. I come here for the Family!!"-Some guy on hash at a concert

Metallica - The Black Album

I'd list Meteora by Linkin Park, but I don't care how good the songs are, 42 minutes worth of music is simply not enough to justify spending $18.

Those supposedly "great" groups simply produced nothing that I like. I find that I dislike most music from the 60's as I feel it just sounds like shit and the lyrics do nothing for me, I simply cannot connect with it. Hell I would rather listen to classical stuff like Beethoven than alot of 50's, 60's shit.

Meh. The only one of those I liked was RotPS.

He has to do that in order for it to be sold to the common Joe. And blargh. Pussy Liquor's down there with HoaTC, I don't like the really slow, really creepy songs. But it's grown on me.

Girl on Fire is hands down the best new one on there, IMO.

Down - II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow. I can NEVER get tired of that album. I can relate to it.

I used to listen to Linkin Park and Korn and whatnot, but last week I gave almost all of my mallcore/nu-metal shit to my brother, as I am now an elitist metalhead prick in training. 8)

Morningrise - Opeth
De-Loused in the Comatorium - The Mars Volta
Paid in Full - Eric B. and Rakim (know your old school)
The Somberlain - Dissection
Reasonable Doubt - Jay-Z
Terminal Spirit Disease - At The Gates

And since the truly great never came out with albums as it were I'll just go ahead and say that Beethoven's entire body of work is the greates human example of musical perfection the world has ever produced  (see that my resolve face it is)

What's perfect about it? I borrowed it once at the library, listened to it and it struck me as rather bland and dull compared to Bal-Sagoth. (the only "symphonic metal" band which I have deemed worthy of my attention, with the possible exception of Thyrfing... perhaps also Finntroll and Aborym, if you consider them "symphonic") To be honest, though, it was a long time ago. Perhaps I need another listen and a comparison to Bal-Sagoth's "Atlantis Ascendant".

A-fucking men. There is not one song on this album that isn't class. It's just a collection of bitching sings.

runner-up is probably one of Alice Cooper's last three albums, because I happen to think songs on an album should mesh well together. Probably Brutal Planet

I think Manowar's Louder Than Hell is the only album i can listen to from start to finish nearly everyday and still love it like it was my first listen. I have no idea why, it just really kicks my ass.

It sounds like you prefer to listen to albums from start to finish. I like a few albums that way but unfortunately CD and the pure crappiness of most albums these days means I hit the skip button a lot or I buy "Greatest Hits" albums which aren't really designed to mesh. :?
