He can't, because they're in a huge storage facility or something.

Because, you know, people generally file away their credentials, instead of hanging them in their office.

Now now, why would he need to hang his credentials out in the treehouse where the rain can get at them when the lemonade stand is out at the front of the house? It's not like he needs to impress anybody in his office.

What about your courses at the Max-Plank-Institute?
When was that? What degree? Or better, With Prof?

Or is this College degree all you have?
By the way: Nellingen Barracks were not in Esslingen, but between Ostfildern and Nellingen. While Esslingen is close, there still is a difference. I Know that for shure, since my Aunt lives close to the Scharnhäuser Park, which happens to be the former Nellingen Barracks.

Oops, as i said i didnt followed this whole conversation over all threads...

But with this new information to me, it is indeed a foolish chain of questions i asked. I have to apologize.

Because his claim is indeed utter BS then.

Stewart. I had my initial Sniper training about 2 years ago. That means i am kind of new to this job (especially as i stay in my normal role and can do only the refresh trainings every 6 moths).

But didnt it came to your mind as you claimed this, that such nonsense will miscredit every following word you type instead of confirming it? Among other claims indeed, but i am not qualified to say anything about them.

Again, i am sorry to type that question without knowing all facts/threads. I asumed he was indeed talking about his feats with a RIFLE(!) and not a pistol. That just didnt came to my mind.

I wouldn't worry crucible he has said these things in soooo many ways - I don't think he can keep it straight any more. Since I am NOT a marksman by any means (unless we are talking like 2 ft here lmao),and you a trained sniper, out of interest whats your average grouping?? (with a rifle of course).

It really depends on the rifle we have available.

We had the 86SR before with a nice1 MOA at up to 200m after zeroing (no match ammo though). That is nice for an "old" rifle.

About a year ago we had the "luck" to get an overpriced update, the PSG-1. Well at 100m we got 1 MOA too (after zeroing, no match ammo). Dont try to shoot with it at longer distances.
As it now stands quite clearly, the PSG-1 was/is just a placeholder for the DSR-1M. So that our Ministry of Def could say, hey look they have "new" rifles and dont need to use the decade old ones they had before, they are now on par with other NATO units (LOL, sure. Its a PSG-1 dammit).

We have now the DSR-1M, not in large quatities admitted, but we can use them at least at the half year recap training (still PSG-1 for routine training  ).
With the DSR-1M we get about 0.5MOA at over 300m (again, after zeroing). But we have a good stock of match ammo for it atm and the rifle IS the best one i shot with up to now.

I've been told that snipers often don't like semis because they ain't as accurate, and I suppose I shouldn't be totally reassured by the manufacturer's claims (which IIRC was about 50 bullets all in a about 1 MOA cone at 300m) but What happens after 100m? I really find it hard to believe it is a 1MOA cone out to 100m and it somehow spreads out? Or does that really happen?

Thank you.

Stored inside would be a "Javelin" launcher, 6 missiles and 100 kilos of assorted ordenance. Personal weapons should include two Detachable Magasine fed Assault Shot guns like the H&K CAWS, Atchenson AASG, SPAS-15 or Dawoo with the drum magasine
Now that's just funny. Someone's been watching way too much SG-1.

Why bother with photoshop? He'll think a crayola drawing (using the really big little kid crayons, not the little ones that come in like the big 64-count boxes with their own sharpener) will fool us :P

As you said, it is a cone in which the bullets travel, and at over 100m most of us experienced that the bullets spread farther out then 1 MOA.

It is not that something happens to the bullet after the 100m mark, its just that they further travel along the outer lines of the cone, thus spreading the group.

The claims from the manufacturer are not false, but they were made under optimal conditions, that means with match ammo.

We had at 300m groups of 1.5MOA to 2MOA, with one PSG-1 we had indeed under 1 MOA (without match ammo).

Problem is, that a precise rifle should be at 1MOA at 300m to 400m (with match ammo), and at max 1.5MOA (without match ammo). And that constantly through all rifles. Something the PSG-1 just cant claim especially over the 300m mark ,at which the military shooting distance starts.

The PSG-1 is not lousy, far from it, but it is not a military sniper rifle. It IS a good police force marksman rifle (if they can afford it  ), but nothing more.

Why should we believe a compulsive liar and blowhard when he can't parse English, differentiate between atmosphere and interplanetary space or operate an idiot-proof device such as a scanner?

Although, it is quite old to keep attacking something so stupid, espeically when you know the person is wrong, and when you know you don't like the person. Why don't you just ban him or get on with something else?

Few of you can spell correctly, and even fewer can construct perfectly chosen gramatical sentences (neither can I), but it's pointless to attack that.

You should, for example, have written, "Can't parse English, Can't differentiate between atmosphere and interplanetary space, and can't operate an idiot-proof device...blah blah blah. That would make for better sentence parallellism. But who cares? If the point is wrong, and you know his point is wrong, it is just simple-minded to keep pounding on something you OBVIOUSLY know won't have the slightest effect.

Well, that does strike me as the kind of entrepreneurial vision that we can expect from someone who works for a highly classified "instatute" that is critical to national defense.

I am tempted to email wa9cgq@mc.net and ask "Mr Davies, I presume?".
Or perhaps one of you might seeing as how y'all are so much closer to the action.
