I see no dust; I see small pockets of still-glowing gas at the former location of the asteroid (which is only sensible since the center of mass will be the last spot to drop below the critical density/temperature conditions for visibility).
Kilograms, refering to yeald of TNT or it's equivilant, or about 4,180,000J. each is a valid compairison, when many on this board have used the fraises "kilotons" and "megatons" to describe the same event.
Kilotons and megatons are legitimate units for energy yield; kilogram is not. Of course, you would know that, being a seasoned military weapons expert.

There is no dust; only cooling gas.
