*Imperial March*

The ISD DeathScythe patrolled the Correlian Trade Corridor out near the hoth system. Assigned there a few weeks ago due to increased pirate and rebel activity in the area. It had become a staging ground for numerous raiding missions and hit-fades against Corporate Sector merchant vessells and required the attention of an Imperator mk 2 Stardestroyer.

Warning Klaxons blared as a large hyperspace signature was detected approximatly 1 light second out to the starboard side.

Keevan sighed to himself, another alarm, likely another attack.....which would mean more work for him and the rest of the tech crew, and more glory for the fighter pilots. He shook his head and checked his tools were secure on his belt.

Petty Officer Suoco Vil'is sat at his console, scanning the comm-bands for any unauthroized activity, and hearing only the dull blather between ship stations. Then he heard the klaxons. Finally, some action, and I'm stuck here at the comm station. When I took this assignment, I thought I would be DOING something. He absently fingered the blade hidden in his uniform pants leg, rubbing it like a man would caress a lover. There had better be some blood spilled soon he thought wistfully, and tugged on the dark side absently, allowing it to refresh his mind and body, reveling in the intoxicating power. He glanced causally around the bridge, noting the position of the captain especially. Make your move captain..and get me out of this hellish box...

Tasik inwardly smiled at the panicked eyes of some newcomers. But he was above such things. With all his grace and speed (he refused to call it 'rushing)', he made for his TIE Interceptor. After pre-start check he waited for the launch order.

If any of you are looking at your sensors you will notice 3 squadrons of unmodified Z 95 headhunters and 1 squadron of Y-wings forming up.

Working rapidly, with the razor sharp focus that his anger gave him, Suoco brought up the jammer controls, and twisted the activation knobs into their ON position. He winced slightly as his ear-piece filled with screeching static, then settled a tiny mic in front of him. "All pilots to their ships, repeat, all pilots to their ships. Hostile forces at 1 light-second to starboard, squadrons deploy. Hostile types are Nebulon-B, with snub fighters escorting. Stay on frequency to recieve orders."

After launch, I (and guesstimating my wing, too) immeadiately make for the hostile z-95's.

After fighters were launched, the frigates oppened fire. Not many of their guns could open fire on any one target, but concentrated fire was still lethal.. A few shots ran wild at this distance, but that majority hit the Starboard shields of the DeathScythe in an interplay of red and green energy.

ISD damage 234 teratons taken from starboard shield arc.

The Death Scyth then maneuvered to bring the Assault frigate into line with a full forward salvo... and fired. Most shots ran wild from the distance and heavy jamming, but a good many of them slammed into the assault frigates shields

Keevan felt the impact of the hits, no matter what some would say...He glanced over at the displays, looking for any damage in sectors that would need teams dispatched to fix it.
He smiled a little to himself, some said battles were won by those with the greater skill, or luck...or firepower....he knew the truth, all those around him here did. Battles were won by those with the superior damage control.

Suoco grit his teeth. Patience...you will be in battle soon enough...
He licked his lips at the thought, like he so often did. It had been days since he had let the dark side flow through him entirely, days since he had last killed a man, days since rage filled him. Suoco couldn't take it much longer. With grim disipline, he squelched those thoughts. He knew that anger and hatred was the key to power, but not at the expense of concetration and disipline. Few these days understood that, preferring to let their emotions control every action, instead of channeling it to suit their needs.

The y-wings were formed up an a loose V formation with the z 95s escourting, they are coming in for an attack run.

The Frigates ioopened fire again.. this time cutting straight throughn the jamming and every blast hitting headlong iinto the DeathScythes shields. They had even maneuvered themselves so that the vast majority oif their guns could hit... The Deathscythe shook as the contintent destoying atack rippled harmlessly acrross her shields.

Deathscythe: Total Forward Shield Strength remaining: 19555 teratons

The ISS Then opened fire with a withering forward salvo slamming into the Rebel asault frigates shields with a wave of energy that would turn asia into uninhabitable slag

Assault Frigates shields:8052 teratons ramining on starboard arc

Attack run will be within weapons range in 2 rounds

Suoco sat still, his mind wandering while his hands manipulated the controls infront of him, increasing the jamming, and directing it right at the oncoming Y-wings.

He reached out with his mind, tugging and grappling to force, channeling his anger into a perfect conduit of self, and reached out towards one of the Y-wing pilots. He saw in his mind the pilot, and he reached out, trying to force himself into the pilot's mind, ripping at it. However, the pilot seemed unusally focused, and took no distractions from Suoco's mental attack. Damn...

The Y-wings slowed down, and had difficulty maneuvering.. as they reached the range of the ships point defense guns

The jamming had started to take its toll on the Frigate gunners, about half the shots went wild from their next broadside, what litle reached the DeathScythe dance across her forward shield like raindrops on a pond

Forward shield strength: 19161

In return the death salvo released another withering salvo into the assault frigate

Starboard shield: 6669
