Khazar shakes his head. "Don't go in with a lot of magic gew-gaws, they'll detect those in an instant. Besides, none of the Night Masks know what most of you look like. And this is supposed to be a fact-gathering mission, not a raid on the festhall. I'm sure you'll be able to find out some things without resorting to violence."

"I agree, but I am not well suited to those sort of misions... Seeing an elf in blue robes... may look a bit odd. However, a rat is something they have seen before... Though I do have an old aquaintance that may be able to do the job a bit better than the vast majority of us. He lives in this city and will work rather well... He is an Incubus, but he has thrown off the evil that normally is characteristic of his species. If no one has objections, I could go and call in a favor..."

From the folds of his robes, Astinius produces a rather large toad, it had an almost unearthly glint of intellect in his eyes... And that cocky demeanor of knowing he was smarter than almost everyone in the city

Astinius took out a pen and paper and wrote a note.. then, rolling it up, he had his amphibious friend put it in his mouth.

"Now Mr. Toad... you know where Ixeldor lives yes?"

The toad croaked a "YES".. Astinius had managed to teach him common

"Then go forth.."

He released the toad who.. moved rather fast for a toad... He left the temple and hopped through the streets, random people stoping to look confused at the messanger toad. The odd child gave him trouble, but he simply puffed himself up the size of a footbal and shot them a hateful glare, and they left him alone.

He hopped for a bout 5 minutes before reaching his destination.. But unfortunatly, a door stood in its way.. He hated the door.. He hated the door in ways that no human could understand.

He looked around for a way to knock on the door, finging a small peble, he used is reasonably strong toad-legs to kick it toward the door.. *rolls*

hits the door.. and repeats the process until the demon comes to the door.

he sets the note down...
Croak: DOWN HERE DEMONBOY!

Nodding toward the note

Croak: If you could take me back with you, I would appreciate it

The note basically reads...

"Ixeldor, this is Astinius.. I need to call in that favor... Meet me at the Abbey 5 minutes as the toad hops from your house.. The guard has been warned no to try to kill you"

An 18 year old human. Reaches down and picks up the note.
*sigh* "Seems like Astinius still hasn't learned the meining of the word "subtle", pity he turned down that apprenticeship."

Ixeldor crumples the note in his hands and it bursts into flame, crumbling away to nothing.

"You can hop back to your master on your own, I need to get my equipment. Oh, call me Demon-boy again and I'll turn you into a very realistic statue."

++after one shapeshift, and a few moments of equipment rearrangement++

Outside the abby, in a flash of light, a middle aged star-elf appears next to Astinius. He wearing a loose traverels tunic, has a longsword hanging on his belt, and has a metallic headband (but that's it.)

"Astinius, good to see you again, it's been.........what? 18 years?"

"lord Khazar, I don't think that seeing a Half-Dragon in their festhall wouldn't spike their interest... At least I would be curious..."

"Around there... I have become considerably more powerful since our last meeting. But then again, what mage wasnt less poweerful back then. That lynch mob didnt like seeing me there... Anyway, about that favor.. We need to get into the purple lady festhall and find out where the Nigh Mask enclaves are. However,m we dont want to alert them to our presence, and you and I both know that I am about as subtle as Karsus's Avatar... That is where you come in"

*Ixeldor holds up a thumb and looks at the party*

"Hmmmm. That half-celestial is going to be a problem.......but the rest should be easy enough. I have my disguise equipment with me, we can begin right away if you want."

"Ok then, allow me to reveal to you.....the portable door."

Ixeldor a small black ring out of this pocket, stand to one side, and tugs on both ends. It expands until there is a large ciruclar door hovering in mid air.

"Impressive. No? Follow me, and please try not to touch anything."

Ixeldor opens the door and steps in.

As you step through the door, your in a large pitch black room, you can feel that the floor is wood.
"Hmmm, what was that command word again.......Aros."

At the command word, a few crystals imbedded in the cealing and walls light up, revealing a hallway lined with doors.
"First door on the left, oh, and if you value your life, don't open any of the other doors. I keep some of my pets in these ones, and abyssal mushrooms are carniverous."

Ixeldor opens the first door on the left, and reveals a small room fully stocked with all the disguise equipment you'd ever need. In the center of the room is a large chair.

Ok, i'm going to take 20 on the disguise roll. Given that I have 20 ranks in that skill, it's pretty damn good.

I try to change his appearence and make him look like a high elf.
