Quantity (length) of life vs. quality

Post by MattTheSkywalker »

Which is more important to you? where do you draw the line?

For example, would you ratehr live only to 40, and accomplish all of your goals/dreams? Be president? Billionaire? King? Celebrity? Anything you want, starting now but only 20 more years of life.

30? 40? 50? Where is your cutoff?

Or would you prefer to not know how long you'll live, and be faced with teh astronomical odds of accomplishing these things?

One's Basic Lifespan of USABLE years is only around 30 to begin with

Traning and learning untill roughly Age Twenty, then you have between twenty one and fifty to get everything you want done to be done, With Modern Medicin one can extend this to 60 at best of Heathy vigerious life, but for the avarage person 60 is the cut off and when old age sets in

Lucky for those of my age group I have roughly 28 years of high investment in the field of Medicine and Aging thanks to lots of older people with money who rather be younger and don't much care about money

Basic "Useful" lifespan is a mear 30 years to being with so why reduce it further?

no trading in lifespan against other things on this scale. i´m already doing this by excessive partying and being overworked on a smaller scale.

OK....

let's say then, training ends at 22. Next day, you have everything you'd want: money, power, career, women, whatever it is that you'd like....you got it.

would you agree to this if you couldn't live past 30? 40? 50? etc.

Quality. I don't like the idea of growing old. That means all the fun stuff suddenly becomes less possible (wo wants to fuck an ugly 40 year old?)

However, I'd really prefer to life forever and party nonstop :)

Quality of life is more important. If someone were to kill me right now, I would barely even care. If someone were to take away all my money and leave me on the streets, without a job, I would live only to kick his ass, then I might jump off a bridge, or something.

I'd go for quality, but I won't live shorter than 60. If I can stay fit and not be a burden on others, then I'd go for quantity.

Of course, why not both?

Quality. Sure on one one hand with your 20 year limit I won't live to 40, but on the other hand if I can have whatever I want I'm confident I can leave a legacy that will rival Napoleon's, Julius Ceaser's, Alexander the Great's, ect.,ect.,ect.

When Cybill Sheperd was 40, I'll bet a lot of guys would have been perfectly willing to sign up.
