Yeah, that game was a bit watered down for my tastes. Didn't like the "new" graphics too much either, and I never could understand what you had to do to win. I ran out of "recording" tape before finishing all the towers and I think I was supposed to play them all in the central hub but it never workedGhost Rider wrote: Yes...oh many a hated time with the robots.
But all in all was good hard game.
Ever play Impossible Mission 2?
Old (really old) games you miss.

It's actually the same game, right? Or are there differences?Chardok wrote:I downloaded SCII From sourceforge (Don't worry it's legal.)
I heard that some guys were getting together to produce a StarControl 3 which has absolutely nothing to do with the "official" SC3 (which sucked beyond any reasonable capacity to report). I haven't checked their site for months, but I think that they had progressed to the "alpha" stage, or thereabouts. Perhaps not.
Oh and I second Master of Orion 2. Of them both, Moo2 is the one I enjoyed the most.

Same game as the 3DO version, which is the same as the PC version really. I think it got Talkie also. They started with the 3DO source code and ported it to Windows, now they're trying to change a few features that were better in the PC version (like the way you save games).Stofsk wrote:It's actually the same game, right? There was a simultaneous 4 player fps called Hired Guns, that was damn cool. Liberation for the amiga cd 32 too.

Yeah, it IS the 3DO version, and it's awesome, so many memories....anyway, I STRONGLY suggest you get it. They are also doing some customer game content, as I understand it. That is SO going to PWN! I just got pwned by those goddamned crystal guys. they took out Vindicator, too, and I haven't saved for like 2 hours. Fuck me running.
Oh. Someone point me to a cheat that allows tyou to beef up the number of people on board the earth space station.

I was able to beat the game, part of the trick was getting good enough at the sound boards to win Snoozes. Also, after a while you could remember how to put the jigsaw puzzles together.Cal Wright wrote:Impossible Mission, it was on my bro's Commodore 64. He had a couple of other games. I wish I could get ahold of this one, because I remember him mentioning it was unbeatable, or at least damn near impossible.
That game is still out ther if you know where to look.
