I also have to agree with the rest of you.

This site...turned me from agnostic to atheist. It woulda happened eventually, but this site pushed the metaphorical fast-forward button.

Most importantly, I have found an answer to the question: "Is there a God?"

I've also discovered way too much about certain celebrities... (in fact, more than I'd actually like to know)

My religious beliefs did not change because of this board. :) Well, technically, when I first came on it, I was just leaving my interest in Jehovah's Witnesses. It just helped that movement. SDN only taught me to think for my goddamn self.

I am a happy pantheist. :) (which some of my friends call "the pantie-ist". Who wouldn't want to worship panties?)

Also, this board has also taught me the art of thinking before I speak. Majorly. It's still a work in progress.

I've learned that thankfully, I'm not the only one in the world who thinks I'm attractive.

Thanks to the 'getting to know her' thread, I've learned to just say 'fuck dignity' and ask her out (she said 'no', but that's beside the point).

I've learned that there are incredibly fucking hot crossdressers out there who have a thing for geeks (It's been over a full day since I've mentioned how hot I think Rye is).

I've learned that at least I'm not the only one who is A) Obsessed with Inuyasha, and B) Is also a preteen girl.

lesee. . .things i learned, things i learned. . . .

in a board with limited restraints of mocking the stupid i really can be an asshole.

debunking pseudo science and making fun of morons is fun.

When I first came here, I was an extreme homophobe, thanks to my fundie mom. But here, I was around gays, and realized that they aren't so different. It got me thinking, and my revulsion and hatred towards them melted away. While I don't like the idea of two men having sex, I hold nothing against gays anymore.

So, what has SD.net done for/taught you?
its freaky. I still find the mental image of two guys getting married icky, but Im all about gay marriage rights.

I also went atheist, got into p0rn, went pro choice, got some debate skills, a whole lot of sw trivia, and swear a lot more.

I discovered that there are people who apparently bisect their penes for fun. *shudder*

I have also learned how not to debate.

Well It has definatly proven to me that the movie 8mm is right, there are things that once seen cannot be unseen. And most of them are brought to my attention via Frank Hipper.

No. Sex and the pursuit thereof is the root of everything; masturbation is merely an offshoot of said root. Don't you know your Freud?

The Great Leader Of The HAB has achieved greater awareness as to the depths to which the abomination that is the mecha scum have infiltrated and twisted humanity into the weakling genus which now inhabits the surface of the Terran home world. He now knows that his supreme knowledge that only the armored fist of The HAB can reverse this unremitting decay and mold humanity into a new force with which to wield in the creation of the new pan-universal order of might is not only correct, but without uncertainty the only worthy task of his efforts across the stars.

I've learned that there are genuinely cool people interested in sci-fi.

And that 99% of the world's problems are caused by my touching myself at night.

My political views have been almost unchanged, but I've become more of an aganostic in the first few months here. Since then, I've learned that if you want attention on a sci-fi forum, be a woman. Or, just pretend to be one, and reveal it to everybody just to see their reaction.

There's at least 5 guys who want to sleep with me

Flirting with guys online is more fun than doing so in real life

There are people just as depraved if not more so than my sister's BF

When they say not to click on a link, DON'T click on the flippin' link!
