Laz closes the portable door and pockets it. And then everyone goes to the feast hall.

I'm going to look like an old high elf with ritch clothing, act like a noble, and BS my way in. With my skill modifiers, it' shouldn't be hard.

You see 2 bouncers standing at the door, carrying short swords and wearing leather armor. One of them stops you with a hand as you try to go through the door. "Entrance fee is 10 gold pieces." he says gruffly.

As you step through the doorway, your nose is assaulted by an overwhelming array of perfumes and scents, and the sounds of jovial laughter and shouts greet your ears. Nobles cavort about, some half-nude, eating and drinking merrily.

You don't hear much of interest, just noble gossip and drunken jokes. However, you do hear a few interesting lines regarding a shipment of drugs to the festhall...
