Grey squadron had mostly been held back from the raids, as the dauntless's contingent of fighters had been running the gauntlet for these last raids. They had been successful...the last convoy had drawn in fresh warheads and replacement starfighter parts, their squadrons had never been in better shape.

Kettch had laboured over flight data and mission reports. Who would have thought leading a squadron would have meant all this work? He had been told of the raid and had handed out mission briefings on datapads for his squadron to study. Communication had not been a problem as Rebel command had seen fit to even give him a protocol droid. Things could not be better.

Grey squadron now sat, running through pre-flight before the battle as they awaited the command to launch. Kettch had been given orders to protect the convoy ships the rebels had already boarded and siezed. He looked a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. He dragged on the space helm and locked it into place, flicking on his modified comms system, He gave the order in a short "Tutah." to lock down and prepare for space. They were ready. They awaited clearance

He got the launch command, and his Interceptor, along with his wing mates, launched.
Racing towards the rebel fighters coming their way, a plan formed in his mind.
It would be dangerous, but in the end would be a healthier course of action he was sure.

Kettch tapped the Comm panel they had rigged for him with a mechanical sounding voice box built in. The quick signal sounded

"Grey Squadron, Go!"

Two by two, The Fighters scrambled from the frigate and broke once out into space, firing off their engines to clear the frigate behind them, one by one they called and reported in once they were in space and began forming up into their representive flight's : One flight, Two Flight and Three flight.

"12, away."
"11, away."
"8, away."
"9, away."
"10, away."
"7, away."
"5, away."
"6, away."
"3, away."
"2, away."
"4, away."
"lead, away."

Kettch was the last to launch and formed up with first flight, jerking into formation as he brought his craft along side the three other members of first flight. The soft whirring of the s-foils locking into an attack formation surrounded Kettch. He reached out to activate the comms and give the signal to assume a combat formation and lock s-foils in attack formation. Calmly he looked to the Imperial task group for a moment

The capital ships were not yet within attack range of each other, but they began forming up. The Heavy capships in the center, the smaller ones forming a destroyer screen.

Captain Fy'Allar left the bridge when he saw the rebel forces and bolded down to the Hangar and strapped himself into his own tie.. He needed to kill, and so did Shreik his TIE Defender prototype.

He rocketed out of the fighter bay and toward the rebel fleet. He had engaged the A-Wing squadron before their pilots even had time to say "What the fuck?"

He completely shreads the Squadron leader, nothing remained as he sprayed fire into the poor womans shields and hull. The other A-Wings tried to shoot back, but he effortlessly dodged their attacks, focusing the dark side to give him precognition.
