They were protesting the war in Iraq on the first anniversary of the opening of hostilities. I talked to a few of the protesters, and they thought it was important to show that people haven't forgotten about it or some such (especially during a particularly hot election year).Darth Wong wrote:What were they protesting?

I wonder if this ass-clown with the sign was actually a pro-war person who was trying to make the anti-war people look bad.

Sudden power is apt to be insolent, sudden liberty saucy; that behaves best which has grown gradually.

And you think it's soooo difficult for one jack-ass to make up a sign that it requires a grand conspiracy? Nice strawman fallacy, dumb-shit. But then again, Bush-wanking is your stock in trade, isn't it? Tell me, do you actually contribute anything else to the board? Ever?theski wrote:Darth Wong wroteYea, I bet the Evil Bush Counter Intel team commanded by their Zionist Masters planted this guy in the protest... The thing that pissed me off about the protests was a shot of the SF march with a hundred people waving signs that said "End US occupation of HAITI"
That's right, Haiti. The country that just had a revolution so they, and the UN, begged us to go in and keep order. When I saw that I officially classified the "anti-war" movement as 95% bitchy kids with nothing better to do than complain.
I mean, COME ON!

Most protesters just want an excuse to go out to do drugs and get laid. I've seen and known enough of these people to know that.

More than likely. Planting provocateurs is not a new thing - the US gov't was fond of doing it in the 60s. Actually, any loony Freeper could pull this off, then post pics of the protest and single out the person with the outrageous sign.Darth Wong wrote:I wonder if this ass-clown with the sign was actually a pro-war person who was trying to make the anti-war people look bad.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
Is it simply inconceivable that someone who happens to agree with you on a certain political issue could possibly have such sick, disgusting thoughts? BTW, it isn't as if this is the only one.Hamel wrote:More than likely. Planting provocateurs is not a new thing - the US gov't was fond of doing it in the 60s. God, the guy running that website sure has an axe to grind doesn't he? He thinks a sign that says "I'm ashamed of my country" is somehow anti-American. Hell, not a day goes by that I'm not ashamed of my country for one reason or another.Joe wrote: Is it simply inconceivable that someone who happens to agree with you on a certain political issue could possibly have such sick, disgusting thoughts? In any case, don't listen to this guy exclusively. I was in the city on the day of the riots and I saw all of this; most of the people were calm, orderly, and NOT anti-American. The fact that a few extremists came out that day isn't really a surprise, but they in no way represented the entire crowd.
Neither possibility is inconceivable~Joe wrote:Is it simply inconceivable that someone who happens to agree with you on a certain political issue could possibly have such sick, disgusting thoughts? Pardom me, but that is simply untrue. I protested the war in Iraq, and i still do. I'm not anti-American, i certainly dont use drugs, and while i have been laid it certainly wasnt my excuse for protesting. Yes there rae people like that, but 'most' is simply not true.Darth Wong wrote:Most protesters just want an excuse to go out to do drugs and get laid. And besides, i'm more affraid of these people (Republicans mostly) who have an obsession with 'teaching the A-rabs a lesson' as one pro-war marcher put it to me. The country is going down the shitter, the economy is screwed, Bush is fucking with social security, and all this man could think about was how much he despised Arabs (i assume he meant Muslims too, but i didnt tak ethe time to ask the fucker).

The point is I can make overbroad generalizations about the Democrats and their record on taxes, just like you are with republicans. So?18-Till-I-Die wrote:With all due respect, i'd like to knwo what the hell that has to do with the untrue generalization that 'most' anti-war protestors are lazy fucktard hippies?Einhander Sn0m4n wrote: I would like to know one thing: How much do you like paying high taxes?
