A Y-wing squadron is shreaded as it makes an unsucessful bombing run on a carrack.

The craft span as the impact rammed into the back of the shields, almost draining them completely from the damage. Power began to equalize throughout the x-wing to try and regenerate the shields at Tutar's work. Kettch tapped in orders, form up for close fly-by's of the capital ships and engage the tie- bomber squadron before it can do much more damage. To hell with the odds. he thought.

Minor confirmation, you will be attacking IMP casphips and taking out TIE bombers?

ok, your wording was a bit odd

(I can pretty much assume that everyone sle keeps the status quo, and move on to the next round)

The capships are now in range(oh jesus) The ISD and escourting capships open fire on the Corvette screen(the only capship within weapons range.. they got to close) and wipes out 3 of them.

Lancer class frigates move in closer to the heavy hitters for close anti-fighter support(and to avoid the MC80s guns) and the VSD opens fire on rebel fighters with 80 concussion misiles(26 ships targeted, with three missiles each)

One squadron is wiped out, and the others shields are taken down.

The TIE bomber squadron starts to take losses from the corvettes turbolasers. They lose 4 ships to Flak bursts before they make another attack run, and disarm another vorvette(That makes 2 disarmed corvette, and 3 dead ones)

Kettch thought for a moment. What was the sense in losing more fighters in vain? he reached out to tap the comms and send a command to the y-wings to draw back and defend the Dauntless. attacking now would earn nothing but more lost pilots when every last one mattered.

He growled and brought up the targetting computer to get a lock with proton torpedoes on the tie bombers, signalling for the squadron to pick a target and do the same. This battle was now attrition. Take as many as possible for as little as possible. With two clicks, he let the protorps loose after acquiring a lock

The pilot's body trembles from mental resistance.Kast lazily forced his hand over the torpedo launcher control panel, drinking in the sheer terror and revulsion his victim felt. With a non-chalant command, he forced the pilot's hand down onto the detonation button, detonating all 6 proton torpedoes similtaneously. The last thing Kast saw through the pilot's eyes was a bright red fireball...

We are jumping to hyperspace, you know the rendevous point. We dont have time to call in the remaining fighters and still survive.

Witht that, the Rebel capital shipps start to turn around, as the MC80 gets pounded on all sides by turbolaser fire.

The Dauntless can no longer take in fighters as its docking bay is totaled. It however is not completely disabled.

The withdraw order came quickly over the comms system and what was left of grey squadron broke from combat and hurredly charted the escape routes, diverting all available power to rear shields as they plotted the jump into hyperspace

(Astrogate =15+10=25)

if there's still time before the battle ends, going to do something stupidly flashy: Cut acceleration, spin around 180 on thrusters, fire into my pursuer, turn to track him as he hopefully flies by firing as he passes, and then drop in behind him, hopefully before he can react, still holding down the fire trigger.

Kettch watched the swirling pools of hyperspace for a moment before it all dropped down to normal space, half a klick from where the mc80 and the other attendant vessels who had managed to make a run for hyperspace. Three other members of grey squadron dropped out from hyperspace, two of which looked worse for wear. Kettch's fighter also looked to be trailing down slightly, one of the s-foils damaged from the pro-torp impact. All in all, they were in bad shape.

With a paw, he reached out to activate the comms and send the signal to dock down as soon as possible, sending his clearance code to the nearest carrier with space.

"Roger that"
"Confirmed lead."
"Ro..r, l.a."
The comms system must have been damaged on two's ship. They waited, limping through space as the clearance to land was being processed
