The gathering star problem

Post by Howedar »

I observe that the stars above the avatars are soon going to become a problem. Mike's recently reached the width of his avatar, which means a whole crowd of people aren't far behind *EDIT* and indeed it appears that many of us just did. In three or six months, the situation is just going to get silly.

Do we have any plans for dealing with this? Have higher-valued and lower-valued stars together, reassign them to be every six months, something like that?

one possible solution is fairly simple. some places simply don't have stars. taking them out would be an option.

What's the problem exactly? In a sentance or less please define the problem.

eventually you'll be getting people with two rows of stars? a bit overkill i guess. not sure there's any other problem besides having so many. . .

Ask and ye shall receive. In order to reduce the insanity, the stars have been recalibrated so that you get one star for every half-year, not one star for every quarter-year.

Why are two rows of stars a problem? I'm not seeing it. Howedar don't worry dude plenty of space underneath the location text.

You're more likely to get a Fiat.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Aww, I was looking forward to having tons of stars... then again, now a bunch of people will have 1 or none, so that's still OK :)

I wasn't advocating anything in particular, but this is fine.

Of course you'll just need to change it again in a few years :D

When you first started this board up I'd never have dreamed that something like this would be an issue, I expected about three dozen people, ever. But hey, I've got no problem with success...

I thought that things looked...different.

Probably a good change. At the very worst, who cares?

Or better yet a Yugo, a Fiat enhanced by Serbo-Croatian Communist might, once it arrives you'll be able to harness its awesome power (once you climb in through the window because the door comes broken factory new)

As for the stars, having so few really makes them pointless, why not just reduce there size?

That means I should be a two star boy. By the way, I think we should change from stars to Twi'lek titties. :D

Bah, I think we should have a star for each day we've been here.

Hundreds of stars... that would make the board damn near unreadable. hmm maybe for April 1st? Of course, nothing will beat last year's Shep-as-supermod stunt
