I would strongly recommend against going behind your girlfriend's back. That's just dishonest and will only bring trouble. If you must be with the woman, do it in such a way that you can still look in the mirror. Unfortunately, I can't think of a way out of the situation. If you are unhappy in your relationship and would rather be with someone else, I would think that the best course of action would to be to directly communicate with your girlfriend. If you want out, break it off honestly, suffer mightily, and then get on with your life. Especially if that means asking the other girl out.

That's happened to me a couple of times. When I was 21, I went out with a 23-year old girl who I was head-over-heels for because she was super-charming, seemed to know everything, had a very mature value
system, was very well-collected and had very exotic tastes.
At her college graduation party in May which lasted all day, I met her exceedingly hot older sister who worked for a fashion magazine in NYC, and because the older sister and I both smoked, we found ourselves

I've never been in this situation before, but Jerry Seinfeld has. In his case it was the roomate of his girlfriend he wanted to switch with. George came up with the ultimate solution.

Dumb. Think about it in your terms. Let's say you're dating a girl, and she decides to dump you for your brother. I don't know about your family, but this would end with some form of violence if it occurred in mine. Girls don't have fist or knife-fights as far as I am aware, but it would not be a happy situation for them. Or let's say you're the one who is approached by your brother's girlfriend. That brings up another hitch. If you start hitting on the sister, she might very well be thinking, "Hey, this guy is betraying my sister, he must be a total dick!" And then she'll tell her sister about it, and you're just fucked.
Switching from your girlfriend to someone very close to her (a roommate, a sister, etc.) is something of great difficulty. IIRC there was an entire episode of Seinfeld dedicated to Jerry's complex machination in attempting to pull off such a switch.
