you know this is the first "RAR" thats been really succesful since the infamous one that Spawned the republic of FY.

Normally during these things its usally SD.net on ONE island/nation/ whatever... and we spend all our time trying to figure out what to do, what techs to install, how to conuore the world.. And the other thing, is that its always on Earth, which we all know, and makes thinsg kinda boring..

But this, THIS is a whole WORLD of SD.net nations. Each one of us has our own little Empier, ready made army, ready made forces... Its really a hell of a thing to think about. We each of us get to be our own little Dictators, which is fuin in itself.

And more then all that, You get the snese that, unlike so many before, that if, just IF this one actually occured, and we WERE all wisked away to our own little Nations... it might NOT end in a massive pool of chos destruction and mayhem.

Just as an update, Vympel would also be a "Mega Nation" as he is a Supermod. And while not part of the "Old Boys Network" exactly, my lot is in with the Mess and/or Senate (they haven't formally accepted our help, but the offer has been made). And Lonestar has also declared his intentions to be in the OBN

Wasn't calling you out specifically (sorry if it came across that way) but in general this is how a lot of it goes. A bunch of people decide to either go on the warpath, run off on their own, or give up and die, depending on the scenario. The Mess decides to band together as a means of survival, and we stay out of the messy conflicts (where those erupt) and pick up the pieces afterward.

As RedImperator said, we've just been given a pretty nice world where we could actually do some good for once (rather than being randomly plunked in the middle ages or given a bunch of SSDs for no apparent reason) and it'd be a real shame to turn it into a war-torn wasteland instead.

Considering that Shep has not formally accepted The Shadow Empire as an ally. I am forced to begin the training of special assassins which shall be used to assassinate the leaders of the FUNGAL AXIS.
I have also introduced marshal law and massive recruiting for the military.

A great number of new factories and shipyards for the production of war machines have been constructed. One of their first products shall be built from plans recently acquired by shadow agents.

this RAR might be a little less bloody sense we really don't want to go around blowing each other up. we just like to have the capability to do so.

Well, you screwed up then, because while I plan on sitting tight and not provoking anyone I will be engaged in the Old Boy's network(I was the first post in this thread to use that phrase, by the way) with regards to the Mess for security reasons.

I note that since everyone has the same class of naval vessels it'll be childs play to drive up to the coast in an unmarked DDG and lob some TLAMs at a target, then scoot off.

False, since I expressed the desire to seek shelter FROM the trigger-happy megalomaniacs like Shep.

In reality (as Simplicus has already mentioned) geogprahy AND level of natural resources would greatly affect these alliances and also varying technology levels.

I, myself, would rather seek some level-headed and moderate assistance than tying myself to perhaps more powerful, but less rational nation or coalition. So if The Mess would decide to form a military coalition, my nation would humbly seek acceptance in rather the same way as Iceland in NATO or Naboo in Star Wars. Considering that my people's fate would rest on the fact that we would be either ignored, protected enough or influential enough that attacking Tiriola would be futile, I'd say that diplomacy and (if needed) economical warfare are the way to go - perhaps even disregarding economic warfare. My admittedly tiny army would be just a little better than an expanded Royal Guard, so military strength would be dismal.

It is my suggestion that the little nations would band together, if geography allows it, to form a sort of League of Non-Aligned Nations (like in Babylon 5) to better protect our citizens and as unified front have SOME political and even military and economic power. Furthermore, if the Senators truly get such large nations, then a sort of re-inforced UN might be created based on their strength.

Sadly, Tiriola will remain unseen, oft ignored and usually timid and rather weak. But hopefully diplomatic influence can grow and by concentrating on making the nation healthy, strong and open, we can survive, grow and peacefully co-exist in this strange world. The King has spoken, now may His Majesty's will be done.

In response to the Shadow Empire's pathetic and failed assassination attempts on Shroom the Seven Hundred Seventy Seventh, Shroomania has sent a task force of destroyers. The subsequent cruise missile strikes have decimated the Shadow "Empire's" navy and airforce composed of patrol boats and helicopters as well as key government buildings, sparing the capitol building of "Emperor" Shady.

Will the Emperor Shady surrender gracefully? Or will Shroomania and her allies in the FUNGAL AXIS be forced to cause more unneeded destruction due to the impudent insolence of Emperor Shady? The only casualties in this war will be the citizens of the Shadow Empire, and if the Emperor is truly a kind leader, then he will accept the terms offered by Shroomania and the FUNGAL AXIS. Shroomania and her allies do not wish a continuation of violence.

Terms include the cessation of hostilities, and a formal apology from the Emperor Shady to all the leaders of the world.
