This auction is nearing the end. I want to thank the more than 13000 people that took the time to look at this image on ebay. I appreciate the more than 30 suggestions, that I received regarding blessing the house, exorcising and cleansing. 7 emails reported strange or irregular events taking place, when viewing this image. And I will relay two suggestions made by the senders. First not to use this image as the background on the screen, and second not to display this image around juveniles or children. Last not least, thanks for apreciating the art as well.
This is from Ebay's comments. Now that this pic is in SD.net and all our hard drives, who wants to bet they all will be haunted?

I didn't find that picture disturbing or haunting at all.
Maybe it's just all my morbid-ness, and my tolerance for things that people consider "dark".

Maybe I need to look at it again tonight, when the house is dark and silent. Looking at it from one of the circulation department computers in a brightly lit room isn't working.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963 X-Ray Blues
Uhm, It is a bit creepy, sorta dark, but not scary, all I see is a kid standing in front of a window with hands and another doll-looking kid without eyes...
Hey, want it to be creepier? Look at it in a dark room and play 'Paint it Black' by the rolling stones.
I must be missing something, I looked at it, and then I waited for the picture to scream or something, but nothing happened. What's going on? What am I missing? Dark and a bit creepy perhaps, but far from scary.
aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me. Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.
Wait....the people said they saw photos of the kids coming out of the painting?!?!?!?!?!?!

People! I must listen to jap pop to purge my mind from this! It is horrible but effective!!!
That's not really scary. We've got a worse picture in one of our dorms. It's a portrait of the son of a campus president. The kid died in one of the dorms after being bit by a rabid dog. According to legend, his ashes are interred in an urn on the campus which was not completed because the sculptor died just before finishing it. The portrait is freaky looking because its eyes follow you wherever you go in the room, and the teeth look freakin' real. They gleam slightly, like saliva slickened teeth under a bright light, and have shading that looks exactly like real three-dimensional teeth. It's just frightening...if I can find a picture of it, I'll post.
