"realistic female characters" = We are ready to make sweeping generalizations about 50% of the human population by claiming that the personality of a character portrayed in this game is representative of her entire gender and that her appearance is typical and totally not an idealized wet-dream fantasy. But we can get away with it because girls don't play video games lol.

What will Episode 3 have in store?
I'm usually pretty impressed with a lot of Valve's work, but the HL2 run seems to be a bit of a miscarriage from the start.
