I got banned for quoting McEwok's original post after he edited it, stating that the pseudo-maximalist post he'd made as a parody actually made sense. Not as though I'm missing out on much though.

DarthYan: it was the shot early in the episode when the Republic cruiser enters the Venator's hanger bay. Given the smaller ship's canon length and estimated length based on window sizes, the Venator is obviously over 1000 meters long. Funnily enough, that fits the number mentioned in the ICS, multiple EU sources, and even the official Clone Wars guide. Strange.
