Then you have no taste. Image

And I find it interesting... every pack of Scourge I have bought, I have gotten a foil... (and the first pack I bought, I got Bladewing the Risen).

It's bull.
No it's not, Counterpell has been rotated out of eighth edition. Of course, that doesn't affect casual players, but it won't be legal for type 2 tournaments anymore.

7th had some of the best art work. I loved the Shivan dragon and my favorite card the Crimson hellkite is the best looking dragon card to date IMO

This is a cut out of the original Serra Angel card.

Blue counter decks were owning the tournaments up until the onslaught block came out. This may be an attempt to stop people from creating decks full of core blue counters that cost only 1 or 2 mana.

I got three of them
And I've got 6. They cost $3 a piece.
I am very suprised that newer players find old cards so interesting. The power gap isn't actually as large as you make it out, and only the most grandious decks cost any more than T2. In fact, at one time, there was a guy playing a T2 deck at the local shop worth more than a T1 keeper deck. Thats right, a $2000 type 2 deck that would rotate out in 6 months. God he was an idiot.

Ugh, I thought that most of the new artwork in seventh was terrible. It's trying way to hard to be "realistic", and looking horrible in the process :(.

Best combo of all time by the way is.... Mox ruby, black lotus, channel, karvaeks torch. First turn, uncounterable win.

If you have a scars of the vetran you can stop this, or if you went first, a healing salve, or a lightning bolt would tie the match

Not to mention Force of Will (counter the channel, not the torch).

Or Foil (again counter the channel)

true, sorry, I am used to competitive MTG terminology, when I say win, i was referring to Kaervaeks torch, as it wins the game, the other cards are just engine.
Go to WWW.Themanadrain. com. One of the best magic sites out there.

I still perfer the original Disintegrate. XR, if creature dies remove from game.

And when I'm playing with a deck that has one of those older ones in it, we play By the Card

Well like any 350 card set you're going to find stuff you hate and stuff you love. I like the more "realistic" artwork. Some of the best came out with the goblins in the Onslaught block. True some of them still look goofy, but some like Skirk Outrider are just badass.

It will be interesting to see the 8th Ed. when it comes out, as the 10th Anniversary set it's going to incorporate cards all the way back to Alpha. Nearly every set it is represented in it so far, although I wish they would have brought back some better cards than they did. :?

In any case the 8th card design with the Urza's Thorn Elemental is pretty sweet.

I hadn't seen anything myself about Counterspell but I saw a picture of the latest Sideboard magazine and that was one of the big stories on the cover.

Disenchant is an inferior card.... I won't miss it if it is no longer part of the core set.

Note: They are also getting rid of Lanowar Elf  :x

I hope they replace it with another 1/1 that can produce mana.

It was a vote between the Elf and BoP, and the BoP won. Now, I see how the BoP is a more powerful card and all, but honestly... the Elf is a common, the BoP is a rare. Which is better for drafts and all-around fun? The Elf.

Oh, and I got two boosters of 8th today. I sat down and compared them to the old card layouts. Much weeping commenced.

Magic... now sucks... :?

What the heck? Disenchant is a great utility/sideboard card. Probably not so good for main deck though, unless you know what your opponents are going to be playing.

Disenchant was also a really nice card to have around when Magic had those enchantments that turned into creatures when a certain situation arose. Forget what they were called... :(

At least they still have Tranquility for green....

Quiet you.

I think all the people with the $20 BoP didn't want the value to go down.

I have 2 but never play with them, I prefer the Lanowar elves.
