Torma finally lets Astinius sit up, having moved to sit on her haunches behind him so he can lean against her for support until he can stand
I was worried about you... the words are nearly whispered, childishly solemn, tracks of tears still visible on the scales below her eyes

Lazerus: Your scrying locates a small town in Icewind dale, and you can see a sign that says Lonelywood Inn.

I cast Teleport Without Error to arrive a few miles outside the town.

Astinius wipes the tears away from Torma
"DOnt worry little one, I will always be here to knock those that would hurt you out of the sky"

He then gives her a hug

You arrive in a small copse of trees, and it is nearing dawn. No wind is blowing, and you can see the smoke from chimmneys a little into the distance.

Her short arms carefully wrap around him, carefully watching where she puts her claws, and her wings wrap them both as she solemnly makes him a promise
Next time, he won't get past me.

++At this point, I just look like a human wearing a shadowmages robes. Look up what the drawing of the guy above the shadow adept pres class in the fae'run book is wearing and you'll get the idea++

I descretly look around the town, what kind of defences does it have? Walls? Guards?

You see no walls, and defintely no guards, except a sleeping man with a massive wood-axe snoring on a bench at the town entrance.

After circling for a few minutes, Secquon rejoins the group in the courtyard. seeing that they are pretty much unhurt now, he wanders off to find the nearest seriously injured friendly to cast his one CSW upon.

(YAY!)
Torma stays by Astinius' side the rest of the evening, keeping him within wing's length and if he even looks like he's weak her head nudges under his arm to give him support. Poor Astinius, he's been adopted.

Malkamar spent the rest of the evening draining his longbow and armor for more spellfire power. He sighed softly the whole time. The glittering spellfire flowing from them to him was pleasing to the eye, but he still looked exhausted. "Been a while since I've been this drained."

(4 from wand + 4 from Bow + 9 from armor)

I walk off into the woods.

Now, time to put on a show.

I use Enlarge, and Major Image to greated the Giant-halfbreed with glowy eyes and shadow wings look again. I also use Alter Self to put on a few touches, longer claws, etc etc. I then cast Fly and program the shadow wings to move in time so that it looks like I actually have functional wings.

I then activate all my buff spells, mage armor, and haste, so that I look less like some mindless fiend from hell...........and more like an itellegent fiend from hell. (with glowing armor! )

So at this point, I look like somthing that would send most demons fleeing in terror.

I then use Illusion, and fog spells to slowly (over about 30 seconds) envelop, the entire town in fog. I use peremeant image to create a giant holy symbol of Shar over the town. Then I (from where the can't see me), start my act.

--

Quail mortals, for a new age is at hand........

++Since I can see through the fog, I observe their raction and let it sink in before I continue++

The citizes of Lonelywood poor out onto the street...and fall flat on their knees when they see the giant holy symbol of Shar and you circling above. They wail and pray to a menagerie of gods, and some run screaming with terror inside their houses.

Ok, now all of you will have 2 weeks of downtime.
For the Goodies, this means item creation, etc, as well as training. Training with the abbey members yields 100 XP per day.
For Lazerus, I want you to make a single intimidate check, and if that succeeds you have successfully cowed Lonelywood's populance into serving you. (Not likely to fail though. :D ) You can then have them spend 2 weeks doing whatever you wish.

Ok, I rolled a 17, give that I normally have +9, and most likely get +20 or more from that............yeah.

The citizens of Lonelywood swear that they will obey you, even though some of them look positively sick while doing so.

Shar's Chosen says:
You'll note i have the emotion spell prepped...........
Shar's Chosen says:
twice
Shar's Chosen says:
My first use inspiries HATE toward Mystra and her followers.
Shar's Chosen says:
the next inspirites TRUST towards me.

Both uses are succesful, the populance is filled with trust and hatred towards you and Mystra, respectively.

++Bo-ya!++

Ok, here's THE PLAN.

Over the next two weeks, with heavy use of scrolls, extra spell slots, and resing alot I blast the entire popuulace with Polymorph Other (I can do this in that time).

The polymorph gives every person a fully functional set of dragonfly like wings. I then command the entire populace to take two weeks vacation, and learn how to use their new wings. I use my Leadership feat and high CHA score to try and make them think that by doing this i'm done them a favor. "Fly with great races like the sky elves blah blah blah." etc.

Playing homage to Shar 1/day is manditory.

--

Next, through use of the Stone Wall, Shape Earch, and Iron wall spell (and with a little help from the villagers) I give the town a fully funtional millitary stone wall with battlements and a moat. Once again, I play up my roll as a "benelovent protector" to the populace.

--

finally, while the entire town is one break, I use magic to help along with the entire way. I still act aloof and forboding and stuff, and NO DESENTION is permitted, but I act like i'm on their side whenever I can without ruining my image.

--

At the end of that two weeks.........

1) Is the wall done.
2) Do they like me? What effect did the CHA have?
3) How are flying lessions coming along?

I spend my time filling my books with knowledge of 9th level spells. Copied from other mages spellbooks and the library and training Keevans character in the ways of magic.

I also cast wish once a day

Training, Training, more Training. I shamelessly use the fact that the Ring of Sustenance lets me function on only 2 hours of sleep to train even more.

Oh, yes, I buy a ring of sustenence, so that I have to trance less in order to refresh my spells
