I would say ten super computers and two research labs per station. For requirements we would prefer a larger possible population, with more spartan quarters, say... 17,000. We would like strong hard-points so that we may add on extended services, so that after the immediate is taken care of we can improve living conditions. To those hard-points we need large empty shafts for transportaion of any goods there. Armour need only be strong enough for meteors. Several large industrial hangers will be needed as well.

"That can be done without expanding our existing station hulls, I believe. Make the quarters more Spartan and you cut down on the space required by at least that much. As for hard points, we use them for various modular attachments to our own warships and battle stations; it shouldn't be too hard to adapt them for civilian uses."

"The Arcane Empire does not recognize your claims to territory in that system. A Government that has a populated planet in a system has control over said system unless they choose to share power with another Government.

Unless they choose to allow you to gain access you have no rights to bring mining ships, let alone military vessels into that system. And we will assite them in defending their sovereign rights in that system if you continue to take agressive actions.

The Duke winked slightly at the Arcane Empire's envoy. The mage knew exactly what the Vampire referred to. The great and ancient Vampires were much greater in extent than their basic physical form showed. Much of their mass and power were hidden on other planes...

Your offer is tempting but a trade agreement has already been signed between the Psilon Imperium and The Republic of Nashtar for space stations that will serve our needs, however we are still interested in limited arcology projects for our worlds themselves.

Under international law, it doesnt matter whether they have stations or ships in an asteroid field in their system. Your only claim to the system came through an illegal action. One that will not be tolerated.

We have been out of the loop, so to speak, for quite a while and our presence in the galactic stage is relatively new, but satill I doubt such a document exists..."

First they start out as hunter-getherers, then they move into small herding or farming villiages. These villages either by conquest or contract join or merge to form city states or nations. These nations form government and engage in war for territory. Natiosn grow and grow, often in periods of territorial stagnation until the planet is unified. Then they send out colony ships and those colonies will oftne become independant ton begin the process anew. We have seen it hundreds of times

Sovereignthy is THE international law. It doesnt even need to be written it is an axiomatic truth. "
