Oddly, I do sort of look like Keitaro, though my glasses are more stylish and I'm hairier.

I personally don't look at all like Bill Mumy, and I picked his image as my avatar because I think he was one of the best actors on B5, right after Peter Jurassik and Andreas Katsulas.

Yes, I do infact look like the Vorlon War banner with a Monolith from 2001 behind it. I am a very intelligent piece of abstract art.

My av was choosen mostly as an extension of the personality that I've developed and named SyntaxVorlon. A little bit vorlon, a little bit timelord, a little bit monolithic evolver of lower lifeforms, mostly silly.

Uh, last I checked, I'm not a blue dragon thing...I picked it because it was part of my background for a while, till I tired of it and changed it to a pic of Samus. I would like to change it, but I haven't found anything worth changing it to. Oh well.

I picked mine because I am completely unoriginal and a bore.

My avatar is Briarios from the Appleseed manga by Shirow. No, I'm not a cyborg (yet). Alas, I have only 2 eyes instead of eight (4 in front, 1 on the tip and 1 at the base of each ear).

My current avatar is Burble from the long-dormant comic Fluble. Burble is probably best explained by reading the comic itself, but to those that are too lazy to follow the provided links...

It's easy to draw the conclusion that Burble is, simply put, a raving nutjob. Granted, he probably is. But his condition is not one of insanity, but rather, hypersanity. Having lived for some three billion years, Burble's mind is now perfectly adapted to to the outside world. The outside world just happens to be a raving nutjob.

Most of my other avatars tend to be pictures of Minase Nayuki (another link), for the simple reasons of :

1. Nobody else was using it.
2. More often than not, I'd rather be sleeping, and thus anyone with the ability to sleep through several dozen alarm clocks gets my respect.

My other avatars include a rotating set of wireframes of a ship I did some years back, and some symbol I adopted for some reason also years ago. As for avatars that are actually me, it's unlikely : while I don't mind telling my full name over the internet (For quite awhile, with my old ISP I simply used my provided e-mail account, which at the time contained elements from my name. Thus, anyone could've done a search using that and the area of the ISP to figure out where I was anyway.) On the other hand, most/all pictures of me tend to severely annoy/irritate me.

Mine's a neat pic I found off the web. It is one of the few shots in which the Destroy All Monsters Godzilla suit looks good.
(That, and I'm too lazy to do some photoshopping).

I have a pic of an ISD pit crew, as I thought it went well with my nonsensical username. It's been there for a year and a half, and before that, it was a picture of a Death Star crewman being shot with a Santa hat added in MS Paint for the Holidays, and before that, the undoctored picture. Apparently, I'm too lazy to change my avatars.
