Yeah, but the twits wouldn't even be able to do that. The "Treknobabble" TM (Courtesy of Mr Wong) would mean they'd all get blasted to bits while still trying to give the command.

Come on, lets face it. The writers of the series are so enamoured with idea of gizmo science, they wouldn't listen to anybody who tried to tell them how to do it properly.
