Gee, maybe that's why Shroomania was relatively unscathed by war.

Why do you think I asked Rogue that question?

Given the position you found yourselves in, it did make a lot of sense. Moreso than going insane with panic and hoping Shep and Skimmer wouldn't turn their attentions to you. Or just go on playing the big bully while you were powerless to respond. Stas throwing in with us in the end made a certain amount of sense, really. What if the UAR got lucky and the MESS totally screwed? Guess that leaves you guys all alone in the New World Order. Not fun.
And on a less practical note, when a government names things FART, ARSE, and HUEG, it's kind of hard to take them seriously.
At least Paul
appears to be a reasonable world leader. And not like a nutcase picked up from some internet forum.

@ Coyote: Sure, a co-lab. We can also have a joint FUN/MESS post on the eastern part, to look out for Japanistani funny business.
I was thinking of putting up a base in the Gaymean, to help PeZookia bomb the fuck out of those Super Chechnyans. Plus, a monitoring station.
The Gaymean Detection Advanced Reaction base. The GAYDAR!

I forgot to add this earlier, but:
Coiler, speaking to the FTO wrote:"Look. Japanistan is preparing to launch an expedition into the Untamed Continent. It's imperialism, pure and simple. We could have another Iler's War on our hands if we don't do something.
What do you think about sending military forces there to deter the Japanistanis?"
This is funnier than anything Shroom and his weirdo acronyms could hope to be.

Oh, seriously. Knowing Siege, he'd slap Coiler and then he'd have some San Doradoans selling the Japanistani Kempeitai metric tons of aluminum baseball bats for their aborigine pacification plan.
EDIT:
Fuck Siege!
The Japanistani Kempeitai will be proud to own quality-manufactured aluminium baseball bats with 'Made in Shroomania' on them. 'Made in Shroomania' itself is a mark of quality and skull-cracking durability.

I admit it was a knee-jerk overreaction. Guess I have to stop going with my gut.

Well, it would've been kinda cute. Like Georgia vs. Russia
On basing rights, I was really thinking a base near Fabowice would be better. Gaymea is on the Canissian border, which means an hour-two of response time

Will Shroom eat the sushi that was blood-splattered by the Old Dominion ambassador's viscera?

Edited my Infinity plus one, to bring it in line with some more sanity
It now extends to 10,000 km above sea level; the very limits of the atmosphere itself.

Skimmer, you know that Velestria isn't entirely uninhabited and that there are former colonial states here and there along the coast, right?
Also, where in Velestria is the Japanistani annexation?

So who's selling long range bombers in this game? Indhopal is looking to buy some. Phongn is likely in the running and Stas has said he is selling weapons with special rates for former colonies. So, who wants to sell to Indhopal, and what designs can you offer me? Bonus contract points go to whomever can involve my domestic defense industries in the deal!

Raj, I can sell you some old B-47 Stratojets, that were retired when I upgraded to B-56 Stratojets.

They can feel free to challenge Japanistani claims, but the current zone of occupation is deliberately remote from any major settlements.
Also, where in Velestria is the Japanistani annexation?
Its on the shore of what would be the Gulf of Carpentari, I'm assuming the coast is heavy jungle cover with hills and mountains rising to the south followed by a large inland desert.

The IRT will over major refurbishment and upgrade of Shepistani B-47s along with the usual work-sharing programme. We propose major refurbishment work could be undertaken by local Indhopal aerospace firms with IRT systems integration contractors upgrading systems.
We have a variety of options, from new engines, to new avionics, to improved radars, targetting pods, etc. The sky is the limit, after all ... it just will cost money

I'm surprised it didn't start with a food fight before reaching the climatic ending of pistol going off, killing each other.

I think the MESS conference will officially go into "elastic time" so we can deal with various events, while retaining the integrity of our discussion...

Home computer is down so all of my files (including my background info and government/economy bits) are currently inaccessible. Since I will be limited to occasional access on my work laptop I am turnign over control of Wilkonia to Coyote in the interim. A post in this (or its replacement thread) will be made when I'm back full time.

Some credit goes towards, you know, whom you're going to bomb with them - I could postpone the payment, or reduce the price.
If your stock is based around NATO equipment, some overhauls are possible, especially for the Tu-22M, but don't expect something too awesome, heheh.
