Wouldn't matter. From what he's been saying (even the contradictory elements) he evidently considers ANY attempt at a debate, at having people back up their claims, etc. to be antagonisitc and disrespectful. Basically its pure style over substance BS, and he just happily managest o use it to suppress any and all discussion on topics he clearly doesn't want addressed, unless its done on "his" terms.

I'll never be polite to that lying... elk. He claimed that I had "harassed posters", when I only asked him to back up a point as he completely ignored what I had posted (and I had canon backing). He was arrogant and attempted to bait people throughout the thread... It makes me pissed off. I've never really voiced opposition to anything which has been stated in the EU, but this is something that really disturbs me. Instead of making the EU fit to George Lucas vision of Star Wars in general and the Clone Wars in particular, canon is ignored, hell, George Lucas himself is ignored, in order to fit the Clone Wars to Traviss' vision of it.

I'm going to be greatly amused when the new 3D CW series adds more and more battles to a time-frame where 3 million troops are physically impossible. I think I'll lie back and watch as more and more complain about a dumb, arbitrary number. 8)

I'm not sure if I really want to read this all the way to the end, but he opens the fic with paragraph upon paragraph describing Wookiee storytelling tradition and literature? And this is the same guy who complained about techies "Trekkifying" SW?
Bitch, please.

The most I could bring myself to do was to briefly skim that. Furry shipping aside (

), WTF was with Lowbacca's relative, the Wookiee Imperial TIE ace? Someone please tell me that's something McEwok pulled out of his own ass, and not the EU's.

Wookiee Imperial TIE ace? Putting aside the fact that Wookiees weren't even considered sapient during the Imperial period (if he's talking about the Remnant, there's slightly more probablity of such a thing occuring, but not much more), I don't even see how a full-grown one would fit into a TIE cockpit. Definiately not EU supported.

^I'm pretty sure somewhere in the Rogue Squadron books they state you can't be over 180 cm to be a TIE pilot.

Uhmm, 180cm is such an
extreme term. Maybe this is misinformation by the author? Perhaps just an error that got past the editors? :-P :-( >-D [/McEwok]

So Darth Vader is 1,80 instead of 2,02 meters tall?

Obviously he has a pair of detachable legs that are 22 centimetres shorter than his regular ones, which he puts on whenever he's flying.

Well Vader's TIE is quite different in shape and configuration than a normal TIE fighter, so its entirely possible his was just bigger inside. He may not, because of his armor, require life support, so that might free up space for example.

The EU material states that Vader's TIE was built to his specifications.

To be honest, I always hated the name "Lowbacca". Something about it just sounds totally retarded.
When I was a kid, I always figured Chewbacca's name was just a nickname Han Solo made up for him, because his real name would be some kind of grunt that can't be pronounced properly by humans.

At least Chewie and Chewbacca actually roll off the tongue. Lowie or Lowbacca sound like from the mind of a retarded 2 year old...given the creator very apt.
Still, to think McEwok is a furry shipper, really fits with the whole dipshit "I wanna be an important member of the SW community, not like that Aussie wanna be, Saxton!!!!"

Urgh. No. Just no. I would not even dare to think what a mind could produce such a fanfic, because my ice cream suddenly is not that tasty.

And now, an excerpt for your puking pleasure!
Jiie was very short, and very… very… unwookiee. The muscles and curves of her body were as toned and taut and agile as those beneath Rabba’s fur had been, but her skin was ryyhn-smooth and hairless – utterly, inexcusably hairless. Like most humans, she didn’t have much hair except for her scalp-mane, and she shaved what little she did have off.
Perhaps that was why he found her mane so quixotically fascinating.
Like a lot of human females, she wore it long – today, it was brushed back into a loose knot and fanned out again across her shoulders in a flat-brush tail. But she sometimes wore her mane down over her shoulderblades in sleek dark falls, and sometimes she let he hair beneath her armpits grow wild and luxuriously thick. And last night, her hair had been all ornately braided into tight loops and twists that he’d kissed and stroked and found all sorts of things to do with.

Eh, if he wants to get off on Wookiees, it's no business of mine. It just goes back to the people in glass houses thing: if you've got a weird Star Wars fetish, you don't look down your nose at other fans. You ask people on the street which is weirder, they'll probably raise their eyebrow at us, but their jaw will drop at Wookiee porn.

According to the AHN-novel the hangar-techs paid special attention to the TIE, into which Vader "could fit his massive frame only with great difficulty."
I would think there would be a little more space, if the personal fighter is custom-made.
@18-Till-I-Die:
And regular TIEs don't have a live-support-system. The pilot has to wear a space-suit. No difference to Vader.
About TMcEwok's furry-fetish:
What do you expect from a guy, who calls himself after a teddy-replacement?

1) I didn't say it was custom made, I said it was built to Vader's specifications, meaning that he was responsible for the design of the ship and thus it would be made so that he could fly it. The Apollo astronauts had input on the design of the LEM, but that didn't mean it was custom made for each crew, and it also wasn't easy to get in and out of the damn thing, but they were able to pilot it easily.
2) Your quote is incorrect, it's: "barely succeeded in squeezing his huge frame" with the implication that it was getting in and out of the ship that was the problem, not fitting inside of it.
