This persecution complex is going to make people actually start kicking your ass in the hopes you go away. Stop this 'THE BIG BAD PLAYERS HATE ME' bullshit. It is infuriating to listen to.
yes and your endless superiority complex is bad too. fine i fucking gave in already. dear lord.
Thirdfain doesn't have a big head ;)
Don't take it to heart, superweapons are restricted to anti-planetary defences, you did something that broke the rule. We pointed it out, you said "no no, it's okay!", so we had to tell you otherwise, that's how the STGOD enforces stuff. Hrm, what is the proper emoticon? How about

Eat shit and die. Your attitude is that of a fucking thirteen year old, and I deal with imbecile's of that mental age enough in the real world. Grow five years, then come back.
So hostile

THAT won't win you any points in the STGOD, bro. It sounds like whining. These are pretty basic concepts, but let me impart to you the single largest truth about STGODing.

STGODs are about strategy, diplomacy, storytelling, subterfuge, and tactics. Anyone who attempts to gain success in an STGOD in any method besides those (such as inventing superpowerful badass laser cannons with photocannontronic beam suppressors LOLROFLE!!!!!) will not get anywhere.

I have the image of a berserker to maintain, after all. A berserk in a top hat with a monocle.

I (one person) said "no." But then you whined instead of offering a realistic defense of your notion or simply acquiescing to the order. There are two mods in the game (Marcao and I). If one of us makes a moderating decision, it is gospel. If you feel it is unfair, you're welcome to tell one or the other of us, and if you can come up with a good enough argument, the decision will be reversed.

"You're biased because you play the Kzin, and it's been in my OOB for a while anyway!" is a shite argument for a number of reasons.
1) I do my best to prevent bias from creeping into any decisions of mine. I've moderated several of these games and this is the first time I've had a complaint of this sort.
2) The Kzin aren't going to attack your power any time soon because they don't waste their time and effort on one-horse nations 50,000 light years to the other side of the galaxy who have never so much as sneezed in the general direction of the Patriarchy.
3) It doesn't matter how long it's been in your OOB. Gamey bullshit does not improve with age. I don't read every letter of every order-of-battle, nor do I fancy that Marcao does. These things can be dealt with as they come up, and most often are.

Finally, my one-sentence dissertation entitled "Why Your Superweapon is not Allowed": There are no called hits in STGOD. This is a cardinal rule. There are two phases, in the first you call your attack, in the second your opponent declares what was hit. If either person tries to cheat on this system the mod takes care of it. This has worked for a while. You wanted a weapon that allowed you a free kill on a capital-class vessel. Not a chance.

Now, let's not make me spell this all out in such painstaking detail again. I am not trying to fuck you over so that I can win at some silly internet game where I play the King of the Cat-People. We are all here to have fun, nobody is running a con.

Thats fine. But first things first. The Battle for Gorn Prime.

In the time it takes to assemble a diplomatic team and send them to the UTR, without a hyperlane, the battle should be pretty much over. So lets get that done with first. I know STGOD time is very elastic but lets try and keep it somewhat plausible.

First of all I would like to apologize for my recent bitchings. Second of all I would like to apologize to whomever I tried to insult. And thirdly I would like to apologize for being such a person that I was dejected with myself later when I saw that I really was being whiny self-degrading in the process wanker.

I would also like to say I will try to not be the way I was anymore to any of you especially if you don't deserve it.

BTW I did change my OOB, the Borodin's superweapon is gone now.

Later.

Are you looking at the right map Kyle? There is a lane that goes directly to Sol from Osiris, the, more or less, capital of the TSC.

It might be a good thing if we were to stamp out a timeline sorrounding the Gorn invasion. Who will arrive before who and given about how much time? Did the Gorn ask for help hours before the Fenari fleet headed for Gorn space? Did the Shoom reply shortly? I think right now, time is kinda an important factor.

A solar-powered weapon really can't pull in enough energy to hurt anything in this game. The collectors would have to be... well, friggin' gigantic to gather enough power.

Do you want to simplify it and post the combined Entente fleet actions (UTR and Kzin) yourself? It would probably be easier than having to wait around for both of us.

That lane goes through Fenari space. Which is currently closed to TSC ships because of there support of the UTR.

Preliminary Timeline
Gorn Coup
Shoom seclares support of Loyalists
UTR delcares for PLC
Fenris Resolultion declares for Loyalists
Resolution spaces for Gorn
Fifth Fleet spaces for Gorn
Kzin Prides arrive at Qu'NoS
Dexxtruss launches ground assault on Isstan
Resolution forces arrive at Gorn
Fith Fleet arrives at Gorn
Gorn Loyalist Council asks for Shoom Assitance
TSC sends diplomatic ship to UTR
Shoom Fleet launches
ACIN and others protest. UTR actions

I created this by just going through the thread and reviewing the posts made. The Shoom should be awhile away considering they're a quarter of the galaxy away and have no hyperlane to use. Since the nearest one to them would force them to travel through UTR space, which they can't do, it shouldn't be a quick voyage, especially since its all through the Great Waste.

what if theyre like the ones in Wedges Gamble? you know the ones that sliced open the Golan Stations? and theyre not solar powered, theyre solar lenses, they just focus solar energy.
