Does that mean you'll have to include a FRONT TOWARD ENEMY label? :angelic:

Anyway, I'm going to assume the Vineyard/Baerne/Shinra meeting is in unreal time and that I've gone back to my nation since then. Don't know yet if it'll be public knowledge what I did there after the fact, or if it'll be presented as an internal agreement between Brandon and Jeffery. So...not sure how to play reactions to it yet (heck, we don't even know the final result yet :) ).

In the "Most Dangerous Game" arc I had with the hunters in Veleria, I had some hunters show up with outstaning "Shroom-Mannlicher" scoped rifles (typically using Canipold scopes manufactured in Canissia... plug!). They would make good sniper weapons...

For heavy fighters, how about Zorian Royal Aerospace Engineering ZF-12 Dragon fighters?

PeZookia uses a 6.8mm version of the AK-derived Beryl rifle, manufactured locally.

Big picture

Our conscripts are not iliterate, though :)

So, what, MESS decides to use 6.8mm, and everyone else in the world copies us, even SNC?

Is there a reason not to? It's an excellent cartridge.

Well, yeah, but anything from 6mm to 7mm would be a good caliber.

What's wrong with 8 mm? :|

It could've been worse, after all. I could've made a battle rifle that fires the equivalent of .50 BMG. :P

You'd have to make it bigger, or sacrifice magazine capacity.

The other issue is that its a rifle round. Something about them not performing well through short barrels like that...

8mm is an excellent round, but more of a Battle Rifle cartridge than an Assault Rifle cartridge.

It would be worth considering for a squad-level LMG, though...

6.8mm sounds interesting but I'm sticking to 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm. Too many customers to change now!

The Langley Armed Forces is in the process of switching over from 5.56mm to 6.8mm. As of 2015, army special forces (Strategic Operational Services Brigade [if you know your acronyms, you'll know what that's referencing] and Langley Royal Guards Brigade) and the Marine Corps are using 6.8mm in modified Minimis, Ultimax 100s, HK416s, SCAR-Ls, TAR-21s, and AUGs (the SAR 21 was phased out as being redundant a while back and has been replaced on a 1:1 basis with more TAR-21s and AUGs), while the rest of the Armed Forces are still using 5.56mm; the transition should be complete by around 2018.

*skims* Hmm...

Would an 8mm calibre rifle be conducive to flechettes? Because that bit at the end about the Steyr ACR flechette sounded favourable...

Light and long. Sounds good for armour-piercing, automatic fire, and stable flight.

I am -intentionally- copying the West. After all, the usurper Westchesters are no longer in power in Tian Jiao, so plotting to destroy them for the glory of Eastchester is moot... :P

It's not the first time high ranking Shroomanian and Byzantine politicians have been caught inebriated, wearing novelty breasts on their chests. In fact, Exarch Decius' fanciful golden bosoms are the talk of the town!

Great booze up!

EDIT:

I temporarily removed my OOB from the OOB Thread since I'm gonna have to take some time to update it, since it has never been updated.

At least stick around for when Lelouch arrives and awards President Hank with the highest military honor the Duchy of Langley can bestow on a person. I don't have time to get that post up right now, though; it should be up tomorrow.
