We will agree to the treaty with the following provisions:
*A garrison force will be allowed in Africa and Arabia, as well as refueling stations for the air force
That is fair. All we ask is two things: that forces stationed there not be equipped or supplied for offensive operations. Other than that we have no problems with this.
*The Kokand Treasury will pay for all damages done to civilian equipment in the preemptive nuclear strike on Ionia.
We have already said we will pay for the rebuilding of those the Kokand nuked.
*The Kokand official who ordered the attack will be tried before a panel of neutral powers in international court for war crimes
We have agreed to allow and assist in an impartial investigation of charges of war crimes. War in and of itself is not a crime. We will allow them to go before a court if the investigation merits it.
*The Roman Empire and the Monacoran League will each pay half of the reparations demanded by the NAU for civilians killed by misfires during the bombardment of Africa
The Asgard will make resitution for what our allies did. That has always been our offer.

A minor point of Dissention, since we own arabia, and are considering an extension of the Middle Eastern Front we would like to keep as many troops of whatever kind we want there. In Africa we can agree to keep only Garrison Regiments on the condition that if any other nation in Africa mobilizes heavily or we go to war we would be allowed to put line regiments there.

We ask that line troops only be stationed in Arabia and Africa in the case of declared war. Would those terms be fair?

Since this is being touted as a European Alliance and the Asgard Empire is a primary power in that area we ask perimission to send some of our diplomats to your founding. We wish to converse closely with the governments and hopefully improve our relations. Naturally we are concerned about relations with powers previously hostile to us.

Your request is reasonable, and if any of the other powers applying for alliance membership disagree, we will allow an Asgard representative to attend as "part" of the Floater delegation.
In addition, we confirm that your terms are acceptable for postwar settlements.

We are most pleased you have made this decision. Public support for your Empire has reached a high in recent public polls. You can expect a corresponding increase in trade from Floater free traders.

In Africa yes, but in Arabia we want the right to deploy what troops we want, where no matter wat our political status, and as you have no border with us there you have nothing to fear from us.

Though you are not invited to join we would like very much to accept a delegation to the founding, and to observe the talks, on the Caveat that you would not be privvy to the military planning if we have it there.

Fair enough. It's agreed then?

Rome had long claimed the Anatolian pennisula; ever since the crushing defeat of Islamic forces during the Last Crusade it had devolved into a wasteland of banits, warlords, and minor tribes. Political and military realities had long prevented it from taking more than the Ionian coast; the Emperor Romulus had made plans for its annexation but the Four Hour War had delayed those plans considerably.
Now it was time. Roman culture had begun to seep into the uncivilized pennisula through the Ionian territories; now it would spread by force of arms.
Like a storm they came; the legions of Rome. They crushed several small warlords; then offered a choice. Those who aligned themselves with the Empire would be gifted with all the glory it possessed. Those who did not would be left to starve. Bandits, travelers, wanderers and natives all bowed to the invaders, offered ther services as auxilaries and settlers. In return, they were granted full citizenship and vast tracts of land.
A few warlords saw an opportunity to make a name for themselves. They gathered their meagar milita; together they struck at the might of Rome.
They were crushed.
The storm had come, and none could stop it. The Roman armor effortlessly destroyed the meagar infantry the defiant warlords sent at it. Waves of aircraft dispatched from the Black Sea rained fire and death on the rebels; crushing them underfoot.
Within days the legionaries would seize total control of Anatolia, with a garrison in every town and ruined city, endless patrols sweeping the horizons. The remaining natives would submit; for Rome was fair and just, and there was nothing to gain from independence but starvation and death.
Then would come the missionaries; a gentle tide, sweeping away the pagan beliefs or incorporating the heathen gods into the Assembly of Saints to make room for the Great True Faith. A few Protestant sect would make a spirited effort. They would uncover small enclaves of Muslims, practictioners of a faith long thought exterminated. But their faith would be twisted and distorted by time, and with a little nudging and some theistic acrobatics they would find no trouble or guilt at conversion.
And then would come the settlers; the merchants from Imperator, the freed slaves, the discharged legionaries, colonists from other nations, all united in pursuit of a new life, new land, turning the grey dust of Anatolia once more into a thriving Roman province.

I thought so, I hope we can get these talks done and out of the way, and a new functioning treaty in its place.

The New Roman Empire officially claims all of Asia Minor and the ceded part of Africa as Roman territories. They will be adminstrated by regional governers; once they have reached 1 million Roman citizens they will be admitted to the Empire as full-fledged provinces with all the rights which that entails.

I abstain from the above vote, and propose this vote:
Due to the recent coup in the UPK from an illegal source, unlike with the Floaters, I propose we remove their Veto vote, and in a seperate proposal I propose to boot them from the ITA.

The United Floater Republics would ask that their Monacoran Allies instead present the ITA with a proposal to allow ITA representatives to examine the events of the coup, so as to increase our knowledge of what exactly is going on, before making any large movements.
We want to understand the situation fully before making a decision in either direction.

From bugs located inside the King's Chamber we got the complete picture and video of the King giving orders, then their "Jedi" came in, killed the King, and took the throne.
