Meanwhile, why is Laz screaming about Godmoding? I mean Ubercloaks and now personnalshields? Come on. Aly's off the top I agree, but Straha was legit all the way.
Lastly for a militarized planet with two battlefleets overhead, there's alot of people coming and going from the CoG isn't there?
Strahta was fine except that he didn't give my team a change to kill themselves.
Aly is being a fucktard.

Aly, tokra crystals arn't magic, and unless you went to great lenghts to set up a giant sonar net over the ENTIRE CITY, how the fuck are you going to detect that!?

You realize that we are at ST DS9 tech level and tech based civs have all the technowank sensors they can think of. Anyone with sensors will notice a 200 foot deep hole in the ground that penetrates down to the bedrock.

A 200ft tunnel 4 FEET WIDE?!
........*grumble* Fine, but I at least think you should give my agents a chance to pop up somewhere undetected after they colapse the first tunnel.

Uh... Laz? How the hell would you know exactly where they would teleport? And even if you did, its kind of cheap to say "They all die because my troops are uber badasses who don't miss. Even though uber badass soldiers would go for head/upper chest shot, and would consequently shoot right over the gnomes' heads in their opening volley as they aimed for human height."

Seriously, Laz. The next time you do this, sure you'd know, but the first time? Unlikely.

It's a narrow tunnel, a human has to crouch to fit at all, a gnome would just fit a bit better.
And they woudl have to teleport in because when it a narrow tunnel packed with people there are only so many places you can arrive in.

Frankly, this is getting out of hand. The arguements thread is twice as long as the game thread, people have spent more time screaming at each other, and the game is going down hill. Either chill out and learn to deal with a bit of give and take or just quit now.
Because if this just turns into a constant string of flamewars, the game will be over.

I think, my dear Stormbringer, that for some of us the game has just begun.

That's mostly me and Aly. Aly holds a grudge, and I don't like him either. Sorry.
I'll try and give in more.

minor question, and it really is a nitpick... but how are you getting all that naquidah through customs?
Oh well, dont expect to get anymore. It is now considered a controled susbstance and wil be scanned for.
Remember, my 6th fleet is in orbit, 2 former CoG fleets are in orbit(their hulls, my weapons and crew) and the nashtarans have fleets in orbit.
Smuggeling is bloody hard.

With all the drones I deployed I thought I just did? Unless you're in another city? My troops are only in control of one.

Who is in control of the Sol system presently? Monacora?

Nitpick- it would take a LONG time for your to fully renovate 2 full CoG fleets. Months, in fact. You'd have to deal with a huge variety of safeguards, study their designs, rebuild them to accept your weapons....
It wouldn't be easy, and with all the violence going on, you sure as shit wouldn't be done by now.

Monaroca, mostly. I'm assuming the NAU, PSR, and OU still have their various holdings.

Monacora owns the whole place. The PSR, the NAU, the OU are all defunct, nothing more than a couple of colony worlds, if that.

Actually, the NAU and PSR (as well as the Asgard/Kokand) all had major holding in Sol. So I doubt it's all just vanished. As Bugsby said, it'd probably be a Monroe Doctrine sort of situation.

No, a HEAT warhead is a chemical energy weapon, not kinetic.
Thirdfain wrote:Urk, small problem, I believe I may be mistaking the fictional self-forging projectile rounds from Falkenburg's Legion for modern HEAT rounds. If so, my rounds are like the former.
A self-forging or explosively formed penatraitor is a specialized form of shaped charge. It has far inferior penetration (for a given warhead weight and diameter) compared to the conventional shaped charge used in a HEAT warhead but has the advantage of being effective when not in direct contact with the armor. As a result it only makes sense for some anti tank mines and along with over flight top attack missiles and shells.
If both are pretty much the same (and I recall reading about modern shells which penetrate armore via a stream of explosively propelled copper) then that's it.
Sounds like you were reading about a HEAT warhead. EFP's are not very well known anyway because of their limited applications.

Actually, 100% of the naquida WOULD be distroyed given that IT'S THE NAQUIDA THAT'S EXPLODING!

You misunderstand. The Naquida is exploding, but the point is that it wont all go. Any exlosion, ever, leaves behind trace elements of the explosive.

No explosion is 100% efficient. There will always be some explosive left. Not in a large block, you understand, but scattered all over the area. Haven't you ever noticed how the police can determine what kind of explosive was used in a bomb after its gone off? Gee, I wonder how they do that if nothing's left.
