Okay, I'm back. New turn's up on the B5 game. Let the military and political machinations continue. :)

B5 game set back to Fully Automatic Turns. I can't remember why it was set to ALPU, but it's back now.

Gups blew up the Brakiri fleet over one of my home worlds with the Corporate fleet he was supposed to sell to me. Given the circumstances, I suggest we roll back the turn.

I didn't do it. Never touched that fleet's orders. :P

Eh. Five ships and some repair bases is no big deal. The show must go on, I say.

I have no treaty with Tux since the wormhole closed and haven't had contact with him for awhile. So my ships fired on him, wasn't the order's fault.

Oh well. Time to put a spin on this anyway.

By the way for that battle. How did it go and who won? Did I fight 100 of Tuxedo's ships or only 5 baseships and defenseless shipyards?

Five Baseships dead, minor armour damage to three Corporate ships.

Luckily, I had just pulled back my fleet. Otherwise it would have been almost even odds. Judging by the sims I've run, I would have lost, but taken about three quarters of your fleet with me. That would have been such bad blood that war would be almost inevitable.

Okay, who split the galaxy in half this time? :x

And, Gups, could you move those four ships I didn't get for some reason away from Thessin X? They're blockading the planet now that I've lost contact with the Corporates.

I'll show you who split the galaxy in half this time. Keep in mind that Kullenbrach hasn't spilled the beans IC.

Damn. Tobor, do you have a death wish or something?

This is fucking bullshit.

Maybe I should just invade. Then I would have plenty of space for mining operations :)

Called HP they said the part for my "back case" is on back order so the ETA on my laptop will be awhile.

4 minutes left on this infernal timer (on a library computer) so got to split, thanks to Covvie, Tux and Gups for covering my games for me.

No problem. It's been no extra hassle--it's all pretty straightforwards.

Geepers. Just get over yourself....

You lost NOTHING from that maneuver anyway since you have planets on both sides of the divide.

Oh fuck, those four US cruisers that I didn't get blew up all my space stations over Thessin X! Damn it, Tobor, why the hell did you close that gate? What the hell did you gain from it?

Hm what the hell happened... I shouldn't fire on Centauri ships since I have T&R with you right?

Well the next time. If I had my zoo of ambassadorial stations that wouldn't have happened .

Heh heh it's pretty funny... stretches believability that closing a jump gate would start an interstellar war by accident (or was it a plan?) but IIRC B5 had tons of BVR fighting so there's no problem especially with Marxis' paranoid Captains... can't wait to get back in it.

The only thing that irks me is that it wasn't planned... in other words game mechanics dictating when and how I go to war, but oh well.

It'll only be a war if I don't get my 20 ships you owe me.

Closing that jump gate lost me contact with everybody, even though I have a scout in Cooke, so our treaty was killed. Your zoo of scout ships apparently wouldn't have saved us this problem.

I don't mind.

Marxis on the other hand would never give state property to another government if he thinks he's right. With the jump gate closed he doesn't even know what's going on. He doesn't run a charity .

And why did it go up to 20? What did my ships kill now, I thought it was just Trog's stuff.

No, it was my stuff too. A bunch of mining ships. Kullenbrach's pretty pissed.

Perhaps not, but the Corporate economy's probably dying right now between the loss of trade and me having been unable to make a payment for a couple of months. You're going to need to get rid of more warships, I'll bet.

Maybe. But since Gups hasn't been mentioning anything, he must be managing somehow. Maybe shipping money in from Mr. Defel (there's a whole star system in my space under Shadows so I didn't lose contact)...

...anyway we'll see heh heh.
