Dooku: "Your swords please, gentlemen. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor."
Wow. That line is 100% Christopher Lee. I can easily envision him saying that to Obi and Anakin. I've always seen Dooku as a classy villain, and this is pure class. Too bad he gets offed so early in the game.

This is going back a bit, but what's so special about the number for the 501st?

That's the name of Vader's personal stormtrooper unit, "Vaders Fist"

Isn´t it also the name of a Stormtrooper cosplay group?

Pretty much the most famous one. That's what it's referring to. How cool is that? I saw this cool preview vid of a doco they made about themselves- they visit sick kids in hospital. In Darth Vader outfits. And the kids, of course, love it!

It's my bad habit, I've tried to break it, but the '+' keeps coming on

. Anyway, I'll edit my post.

A slight derail here, now that we´ve seen the AT-RT in all it´s low protection-splendor, which do you think is more retarded to use in combat: The AT-RT or the mechas from Matrix:Revolutions?

by Alan Bolte
The Matrix ones. The AT-RTs appear to be the absolute minimum one needs to move fairly quickly over difficult terrain and have enough armament to make it worthwhile to arm the thing. Recall that the AT-ST carried two pilots, had room for a few passengers or some small cargo, and was fairly well-armed. I'm guessing the idea behind this is something for when a speeder bike isn't appropriate. I don't have high-hopes that it'll be used in an appropriate role in the film, but you never know.
The mechas were basically mobile defense turrets that were meant to stop huge numbers of armored enemies. Making them easy for a single such enemy to kill, when it should be little trouble to better protect the pilot, is insanely idiotic.

Jesus people, stop having such a fucking cow over the lack of armour on what seems to be a light recon vehicle.
The AT-RT seems to be just a speeder bike with legs.
EDIT: Sorry for the mild outburst, but it gets annoying how you guys (and usually the same several people over and over) keep bringing up this damn "issue" every couple of days...

I know, I was just being an ass. And I didn´t want to make a seperate thread on "Other Sci-Fi", cus someone might freak and wet themselves over a spoiler and I´ll get yelled at. Again.
And it´s official designation is "Reconnaissance and Ground-Support" so I´m hoping to see it stick with this role in the film.

Hope it´s fast to help the driver avoid getting shot. I believe the AT-ST variant seen on Hoth moved quite quickly across the screen (compared to the Endor version), so this light-weight version should be even faster, since it has less to carry.
And since the pilot has a different kind of armor on, it might be to provide additional protection, justifying having no additional armor on the walker itself.

I couldn't agree more, Spanky, the subject is getting tired.

Geez Louise I (at least) was just jerking around. The AT-RT is cool, alright, it´s cool as a cucumber!
Anyway, MF.com has buttloads of new pics again (man there´s something new there every single day), and a couple of which are of General Grievous in broad daylight. Looks mighty sweet!

On the Ep. III forum, too many individual links to post here.
Just see if you don´t recognize the thread-names, those will probably contain new pics.

No all of them work, check further down the thread, they reposted a lot of images 'cause the originals weren't working.

Now the reposts don't work, though.

Aaaanyway, in relation to
George's Cameo thread; George is supposed to be in the Opera or Theatre scene, which I believe that it is also the same scene that Palpy reveals he can stop people from dying to Anakin and convinces him that the Sith is the way to go.

HELP, MF.COM IS FLOODED WITH NEW PICS!!!11!! IT´S A MADHOUSE!!!
Liked this comment (about the opening of the trailer):
There are fucking TieFighters with gas tanks under each wing!
In the trailer, the Theta-Class Shuttle being escorted by the TieFighters, looks like the Imperial Shuttle from the Original Trilogy, sans top wing.
The Theta-class Shuttle is on the OS, in the preview of the ROTS-cards.
The fighters are possible V-Wing Fighters, mentioned by Grievous in a lead-up novel to ROTS.
T-Bone´s site also has some nifty news and pics:

Hmm, I didn't see any new pics besides the posters and T'bones's pics. Oh, and T'bone wrote in his blog the other day that the fighters were V-Wings.
