Can't find it... I was on it, it was dead, so I left. Is it any more alive than it was?

And you've posted nothing since Friday, which tells me that it's in your cache. I was able to load the board over the weekend too, but the moment I went to log in it timed out.

If it took a while for Mike to notice something to be crashed, could probably do to have some sort of monitoring set up.

I've had a very good experience with Nagios if that's something that any of the board admins would be interested in. It's free and can send emails whenever there is a problem.

The only problem is my email that I originally joined SDN with is seriously defunct... I suppose I could change it though... I don't know, some sort of automatic "sorry, the board is temporarily down" page would be nice.

It doesn't really work like that when you have a single server on a home connection and it crashes or looses power. If its dead, its dead. You only get messages like that from server farm hosted stuff (most of the interwebs!) which typically have some measure of self testing programmed in via the routers ect... that exist independent of the actual host.

Yep, couldn't access the board for three days. I thought ya'll were boycotting me what with being in Indiana and all and our governor recently signing some dumb-ass legislation.

Anyhow, glad the board is back.

No we'd make an exception in the boycott for Broomstick. She's our mole on the inside.

Rebecca had birthday this weekend and Mike was busy celebrating that and didn't notice that the board went down or the messages from Dalton.

But it seems like everything is fine now.

w w w.stardestroyer.net/Empire/RecruitPics/Recruit-7-large.png), you might want to check if that's something to be consern about or just a false positive, oh and I broke the link to the file in purpose if it turns out it was infected.

I just took a look at it, unless it's exploiting an unknown flaw in PNG parsers, it's legit.
