I would agree with Laz; however there would be ways to figure out the type of material none the less, unfortunately it would require "modern" technology; as such it is beyond the abilities of Alyrium's people. He would have to bring in outside investigators to find out what caused the explosion.

With High-Explosives sure, but that's because they leave a chemical trace afterwards.
Naquida is a NUCLEAR explosion, abit a small one (very little naquida in each gun). So any naquida remaining would be measured in indiviual molecules, not enough to detect.

Somone who has seen naquida before would be able to do it on the spot, but that limits to to the goa'ould (me), the tokra (not shown here), and Tycho (who is unaware of this whole thing)

Records and examples of Gou'uld weapons, including their usage of "gold quartz" are all available. It's strange properties are certainly known to teh Galaxy at large, thanks to the comprehensive information campaign run by the Fenari.

Nuclear explosions?

Dude, nukes may be among the least efficient explosives simply because 1.) the explosion's so dang big that it'll smother its own center slightly and 2.) the reactant is an exceedingly heavy metal. Why do you think so much radiation hangs around if nothing's left?

Naquida explosions don't leave radeation.
They have repeadly said that naquida reacts in a nuclear way, but have never worried about radeation.
Naquida's very rare properties are the reason the goa'ould use it.

To the technological powers sure, but Aly can't make use of that because knowing the chemical formula or whatever won't help 'em.

The Nashtar and UP occupying forces are certainly cooperating with him, and would tell him what he needed to know.

Eh, fine. So you can tell it was naquida.
But i'm going to cut Aly's godmoding off at the pass and say that your detect spells are NOT ALL POWERFULL. If you want to scan for naquida at customs stations or such fine, but no......
"We detect the naquida in your weapons and kill all your agents!"
.......crap.

I seriously doubt that.
When Carter ignited that Naquadah bomb on this planet with some Naquasah mines present, it did not only make a big bang, but also did produce hefty amounts of radiation...

But that device has a normal fizzion bomb at it's core, all the pure-naquida weapons we've seen have gone off on all scales with no mention of radation.

such as?
Quotes, pics, evidence?
And would you just refrain from cluttering the game thread with your ooc stuff?
It really gets in the way of reading...

Laz, I say this for the third, and hopefully the last time: KEEP OOC POSTS ON THIS THREAD!

Sorry, that was just to I could be sure Aly read it..........

It's the LACK of pic, quoes, etc etc that makes my point.
In every goa'ould weapon we've seen from the hand-guns to heavy orbital cannons never once has radation been brought up.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Its a nuclear explosion; radiation is generally assumed when you have one of those.

Just because we dont specifically mention radiation every time we fire a nuke doesnt mean that there is no radiation.
It's basic physics. If the explosions is nuclear in nature, radiation happens. It's like saying you use a rare type of fire that doesnt burn oxygen. It. Dont. Work.

So it would be like using Naquida to do somting silly like....say...bring someone who has been dead for days back to life at full health.
Oh.........wait.....THEY DO THAT!

Magi, about that inflation being "a slight hiccup" in your economy, thats just not the case. When I sold you those shields, I specifically told you that the quantity I specified (cuz we have nothing else to go off of) would be enough to cause yourself some significant economic problems. Now, I can understand how you can pass that off with just a slight increase in inflation. But at the same time, you also ordered the construction of an entire new fleet! Now I dont know what economic principles you work off of, but a 70% tax rate will make people unhappy and cause you some problems other than a "slight hiccup."

Lazerus, how about this?
Using massive amounts of a non-generic high explosive in a terrorist action is, uh, what's that phrase?
Oh, yeah!
Fucking Stupid.
You are paying for your unfortunate choice. Deal with it, and think your next attack out a little better. You'll note that the Ouster agents aren't using Ouster power-armor and hellthrowers, despite the fact that would give them the advantge in an engagement over the localy made clothes and second-rate import guns they are using.

Unless you show me where it is stated that those weapons actully fire off Naquadah, I will consider Naquadah for what it is: the power source they use in those weapons, by some unknown means.
If I use a nuclear reactor to power a laser this laser will surely show no signs of nuclear radiation. Does this, by your logic means, nuclear reactors work radiation-free?:wtf:
And for the sake of it: try, for once, to spell it right...

Duh. My government is liying it's ass off, Bugsby. Inflation and taxes are the highest they ever been. As for the fleet, it won't be ready for another half a year tops. The expansion in the working force is to help spread out the tax load.
Think how Bush acted over the last 2-3 years.
I can promise you won't see any real increase of the U.P's power for some time.[/quote]

You charged him what, 315 billion? Given that we're running nations that span across multiple planets, I'd say our economies are likely running with just a little bit more cash in them than the U.S. economy.

Again, Im not debating the element's other properties. It could very well regeneradte dead flesh. But whether or not it creates radiation is not up to debate. Like saying you found some dry water or somethin.
You know what, forget it, this is irrelevant.

Feh, it's moot.
Just because I USE naquida dosn't mean the fact that some atomized terrorists use naquida are working for me.
Espically given that I sell weapons en'masse.

Exchange rates, son! Krell trade creds are worth a lot more than 21st century dollars.
