I'll try to think up a Japanistan Belligerency Post, probably next week.

I fear that having teleconferences invites Shroom and his fellow henchmen to try antics which not only burn the eyes, but send the brain flaming.
No, I would rather be there and putting some anti-hyperactivity medicine secretly in his drink.

Just for the record: If Byzantium wants to do spying, it's either through submarines, or through high altitude UAVs. We aren't going to send in some bunch of fishermen considering how paranoid those mongoloid bunch down south are.

And having me in person doesn't?!
(As demonstrated later!)

Are you really going to lose sleep over a report from a tabloid that actually has instructions on how to make your own tinfoil hat?

Purely out of curiosity, how large of a force was inbound, anyways?

The average Klavostani merc unit is between a company and a regiment in total size. There's one that actually owns and operates its' own Tarawa-class LHA and the landing craft and helicopters to go with it.

Except that for folks in this world it would likely been seen as just that. All tabloid joking aside if NATO suddenly expanded by a half dozen countires in a short timespan how would everyone else react? Seriously look at the reaction to US pushes for NATO expansion and remember that you could probably expect a similair flurry to start rising up in this world as well. If anything I think Coyote is probably underplaying how much F-in, unaligned, and MESS nations should be getting rising pressure to "do something" about the suddenly expansionistic CATO.

That was not very kind. Now I'll have to come up with an alternate plan now.

So my latest carrier is going to be a Ford-class alongside all the other ones built by other MESS nations, operational before I'd even started building her. Just as an FYI. I'm out of the Nimitz game.

Well, Wilkens started the game with Ford class, so there's no issue.

You know, I also thought "damn, that's a pretty big affront" when Shroom detoured
twice from his visit to Shinra. It sends a message that Duchies trying to join CATO are more important than relations with the MESS.
Think of it as driving to your buddy to have dinner, and then calling at the last moment, when the table is set and food is ready, and saying that you want to do a job interview
right this moment. Especially when someone else working for you could've done it just fine.
Except of course preparing for a visit by a national leader is way more expensive than seeting a table for dinner
Lots of people in the stgod seem to think it's easy to reschedule a visit like that, though.

Hrm... can we just say that this is all Unreal Time and that everything is really going on schedule?
Because A.) Rufus Shinra also ended up in Frequesue unexpectedly and... is he still there?
B.) Man, these meetings should *really* be scheduled.
And C.) The time span of a few days is, in game time, like weeks or months. I don't think I've been Shroom Sojourning for like weeks, in my Shroom Force One.
Mang! Let's just say that this is all occurring in Unreal Time. Saves us the hardships.
EDIT:
SRSLY! I was all at Canissia, having my fun on Sphinxes, and then before I can hop to Messica we go to Stasograd. Then I make my merry way to Messica - intent on visiting Cascadia and Shinra - and THEN we get another CATO meeting.
RogueIce is right. We should do teleconferences or something. Or get ourselves a daily planner.

Look guys, it would be silly at this stage to make another post with the arrival of King Zor in San Dorado- can we not just assume he's been there all along, and we've got all the signing done away with? If need be we can have some more afterparty banter where we congratulate Zor and such, but I honestly wouldn't know how to make any more of the occasion.

Yeah, we can assume he came over a bit earlier. A lot of things would happen that way: I mean, Moonbeam Madness didn't happen over a span of several months, did it?
Shroom, you can take over from here, BTW

I'm with Siege, one of us can do a post about the congratulatory ceremony and be done with it. Welcome to the club, Zor.

Oh I understand that people are apprehensive about CATO's sudden expansion, it's just that the communist part is kinda overdone.
But I guess if you want a good article, what better way to do it; then write about the evil commies.
Also: Moonbeam Madness!
