Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!
I love the Republican meltdown. Can't wait to see Romney concede.

BBC's now called it: 275 Obama/203 Romney.
Hm.

Chris Wallace has even told Rove to give it up, Obama was 93% going to win on 538. Romney just has no means of winning this.

Even Fox News called it: Obama wins.

Thank God that's over. Faith in US electorate slightly restored.

On Fox it's fun to watch them just try to console themselves somehow.
One of the AnchorBots gave a short monologue about Obama's dirty tricks and negative campaigning.

Another 4 years of winter. I suppose Romney being out is worth celebration though.
I said it 4 years ago and I'll say it again. 15 years from now, the only thing people will be able to say about Obama is he was the first black man to sit in the big chair.

The Duchess of Zeon wrote:I'm sorry, but with only 65% of precincts reporting this is absurdly premature. A state should not be called that is, with 18 electoral votes, only a separate of some 80,000 votes, when a mere 65% of precincts are reporting, people can continue voting as long as they're in line when the polls close, and the difference of 80,000 votes is less than that of the various absentee and provisional ballots that will be counted later. It is fallacious and blatant pandering to the news cycle of "present a narrative for the 11 PM eastern news" of calling Ohio at this stage. Don't get your hopes up yet.
I could be wrong, but as I'm seeing the numbers, Cleveland is too damn big and not enough of it counted that all of the similarly uncounted(but much much smaller) Romney districts can't make up for it. That could be why they'd be willing to project it.

Foreign sources now picking it up - as noted, the BBC, and also LeMonde.

I believe Romney still has the edge on the popular vote. Which means more Americans voted for Romney than Obama. Shame

When it's convenient for my current political views, I support the electoral college.

Hardly. The whole west coast hasn't been factored in yet. California, Oregon, and Washington will likely flip those numbers.

*Blink* And for successfully prosecuting the war on terror by decapitating AQID's leadership, shifting the US military to a better footing to contain hotspots in Asia, preventing The Great Depression 2.0 (this might still depend a bit on Europe over the next four years but if things hold); investing in green energy and renewables, and for passing significant healthcare reform. There's a lot to run on and a lot he can be remembered for; obviously all of this could either be magnified or diminished by his record over the next four years, who knows what can happen but its not nothing beyond his race.

Great to see all the pro-Obama swing state projections being confirmed tonight. Romney, enjoy being a footnote in the history books.
Hmm, maybe the GOP will finally wake up and realize their bullshit ain't working. Nah.

Meh. It's hard not to get emotionally swept up in the reelection, since I'm such a fucking Democrat at heart - but overall I think Obama is no FDR. He's been an okay president - I empathize with the challenges he faces especially with the extreme Republican obstructionism, but I wish he was more of an asshole than a compromiser, really.

So Obama wins, I'm slightly drunk and it's a good evening. The real factor of the evening aside from Obama being re-elected is of course Warren getting a seat which I'm quite happy to see. Always good to see a solid senator get a seat and having our back...
Time to switch to the fox news live stream.

Karl Rove isn't conceding either. It's pretty funny.
