That would be a reaction, it's his own fault for not using convoys. I don't really blame him though. It's like this, either you spend a lot of extra time and resources on escorts, or you have cargo ships go out on their own, much easier and will save you time and resources, even if a few shipments are lost to pirates here and there.

Thirdfain wrote:He teleported the crew out one by one, of course, as Alyrium pointed out, in the time they spent battering down the shields and tugging the vessel into hyperspace, the crew was able to destroy the ship's valuabl stuff.

OF course, if he tries that against a military craft, or a prepared civilian craft, they would be able to use jammers to render the teleporters useless. I think it's OK to not write a lengthy boarding post for a simple, unimportant raid like this one.
How does he teleport people out while the shields are up?

I didnt eleport anyone out, all but one was captured but useless. What one did do is use our equivalent of an escape pod and shifted into the Plane of Shadow. Technically he floated in limbo for a while and awaited pickup by our forces there.

I would object, but escape pods with built in once-shot hyperspace drives arn't out of the DS9 tech level range.

The goa'ould ships dragging the arcane trader stopped in an abandoned system once they were clear of arcane terrirory, just outside the safe distacne from a blue dwarf. The crew were carted over en-masse and stunned, anticipaing that the mages would pull some kind of cheap trick, the motherships kept their sheilds up for the short duration. Cargo ships ring-transported up a few crewmembers each, stunned them 1-by-1 (with 8 or 9 jaffa/goa'ould acting at once). After retriving the crew, the remains of the ship were hurled into the sun.

The crew was kept in stasis, just to avoid taking chances. While unconcious, they were strip searched to avoid any chance of a magic item. The goa'ould were taking no chances.

Hoping to avoid the unlikely, but still possible persuit, the goa'ould ships fled. They would stop twice more, once in a system, once in deep space, randomly changing course each time, before acually heading back to goa'ould territory.
(OOC: Thanks for autoing my ship[ and not giving me a chance to respond. This post didnt happen, period. They destroyed tyhe mythallar on board and self destructed.))

When the ship exited hyperspace, they found they were dragging along a broken hulk. They got the ship, but when they got to the ship itself they found the Mythallar no longer functional, and every item and scrol and book on board had been destroyed. Even the minds of the crew were wiped of al spellcasting knowledge, they sacrificed themselves for the good of their country.
You expect me to believe that every single member of an unarmed merchant freighter would blow themselves up for king and country?

Objection!

No matter anyway, there are ways to reverse memory-erase.

not a mords disjunction though.

It doesnt wipe their memory, it wipes out their spells for the day(which are not stored in normal memory per se) but also wipes out their spell casting ability completely(such a brken spell as far as the rules are concerned)

You can interrogate them all you want, but you wont get any spellcasting info.

This really is a mater of reciprocity. I am not trying to steal your technolgy and unbalance the game now am I?

Also, there is a reason we are a magocracy. Indoctination. We may be a libertarian state, but we arent stupid. EVERY schoolboy knows that if the secret of his spells fall into the wrong hands, the empire could be in danger, and everyone heshe/it loves could die. You dont think they will self destruct when faced with a fleet of a power that the government has told them to be warry of? You are on Meth.
\
Besides, do you know how paranoid mages are anyway? They are worried about other mages getting a hold of their unique spells how do think they will react to the magically barren trying to steal their unique spells? Mages put spike traps in their homes for gods sake!

Heh, you got me there. Point conceded.

Oh well, not a total loss. I can still find out a few details on how to operate ships.

Nice post, Frigid.

Of course, I think we can all agree that it was the actions of those dastardly Krynor which started this horrific rebellion!

If I had say........100 agents in a city, and beamed up 60. How would you know that I didn't really have 60 agents in the city and beamed up all of them?

Yet, we have no evidence of wrongdoing on their part and a good crapload on you. Odds are if you try to pawn off the blame on Thridfain, we won't buy it.

Actually all you can prove is that one agent used unnessicary force. I intend to apoligize, recall all of my agents (As far as you know). And blame supplying the resistance with weapons on thirdfan.

Actually, Laz, you're wrong. Our relations with the Arcane Empire have always been lukewarm/neutral. Remember- we fought alongside them in the CoG campaign. So far, all of our opposition to them has been underground.

...
And good luck pinning it on me.

Go ahead and blame Thridfain. I'll just ask "Where's the proof?"
I'll want some nice hard evidence to.
