That or edit big colored APRIL FOOLS tags to them...otherwise it'll be horribly confusing in posterity :)

Did anyone archive them, by any chance? It'd be an interesting footnote to stick in the SDN Chronicle.

I archived mine. I don't know about the others.

Wow. That was really well done. You guys totally had me going, literally.

I was kinda hoping that it was real, mainly due to the fact that it would revitalize this thing with a truly massive war. I guess I'll have to settle for a minor war later on.

If you'd like a war, well, the Commonwealth is always up for a colonial entanglement. You know who to irratate if you are looking for a little action

Dude, I play Chinese nations all the time in STGODs. I'm of German/British/Scottish ancestry.

Last game, I played some weird-ass Nietztchean genetically modified supermen who only lived in zero-G on asteroid habitats.

Hate to say it, but my family isn't from the Belt :P

Ethnically, I'm broadly Eastern European, with a sprinkling of Anglo and a bit of Native American.

-edit- to be fair, I did spend a while as an exchange student in Paris. One of the reasons I'm libertarian is because I've seen a socialist state in action, and it is not pretty.

Got some questions that will affect how my in-game posts go:

For the former Klingon Empire, what exactly was their mindset? Are we talking TNG Space Vikings, or cunning Smoothie machinations? For that matter, was the TOS-TNG Klingon switchover ever resolved in this universe?

For the Kzin, what point along their evolution into a semi-evolved species are they at? Exactly how much do they still have the old ways dominating their lifestyle, more specifically, their dealings with non-Kzin outsiders, and their treatment of orphans.

Consider careful and subtle intelligence gathering to have gone on in game to gather this info, the nature of this will depend on whether its even possible for non-Entente people to talk to the Kzin without getting et.

As a side note, what the bleep is the Terran Republic's 'Universe Shield' and how does it work?

The Universe Shield: Magical construct that effectively puts Earth into a different universe. The boundry can be crossed, but any weapons disappear when doing so. When crossed going outside, the weapons reappear.

Hiyas SDN lurkers, I'm darn new here and was interested in joining the STGOD. I've been hearing quite a bit from a few of the players here and thought I'd like a shot. So, is there any kind of opening for an empire on the Eastern Rim? I've got an OOB in the works.

She gets my vote. I've seen the OOB she cooked up while waiting for reg....jebus.

A little new blood never hurt nobody. Welcome to the monkey-house, Nephtys.

-edit- make sure to understand the rules and power-levels for nations.

I'm tempted to join but is there anywhere I can get a quick overview of the rules? None of the threads are overly helpful.

No. Much like the English constitution, STGOD rules have been built up over time with unwritten understandings and tradition. The most important rules are:

1) In combat, there are no called hits. The attacker makes a post saying what he is doing, and the defender replies with a post explaining the results.
2) Write a proper OOB and stick to it. Any possessions of less than everyday significance must appear in the OOB or it will likely as not be disallowed.
3) The mods' word is law.

The rest is actually pretty easy to pick up.

Ah, cheers. I'll get to work on the OOB, then.
